Other people don't base their decisions on what they see you doing. I'd imagine most people in DF DR don't even notice whether or not you've used an essence.

The people on the forums just thoroughly enjoy being angry, but they don't represent the majority of the community. Most people in DR likely can't even be bothered to make a mental note of who's using what.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't expect anyone to click on every person to see if they used buffs or not, I am not that dense.
I just don't see a reason why one wouldn't want to save THEIR OWN time by just having an essence up especially since you need to farm so much for this relic. It's literally a free damage.

"babyrage" and whatnot, like, aren't YOU the one whining for several posts now because people call you what you are; lazy and selfish and unwilling to even put in a modicum of the teeny tiniest bit of effort that is pressing a button to get activate the essence?

heck, it takes even less than 5 (five/fünf/cinco/cinq/cinque) minutes if you can play the class you're using somewhat well, which I don't! and I still got tonnes of essences from about 12 (t w e l v e) minutes of """"work"""" that will last me for a long time

Hmmm...

A house, which is at best a place to get a few easy mats for low gil and repair gear and so you can roleplay that you have a house... versus making the experience better for 20+ players a run in an online game... Which is the most incredibly egotistical decision?

I have not given this game the time of day since arr was new. what are essences and why are they required? I'm trying to move away from wow and wow classic here but would hate to know they have the equivalent of world quests for rep/power/required consumables here as well.

If you just join a duty and play as you like, you're not "imposing" a thing. On the other hand saying to people they must use an essence IS imposing. I myself have not been whining because anyone has called me lazy, selfish or unwilling. Call me whatever you want, doesn't matter to me I will still play the same. As I have said before you will get no apology from me :)

I could not care less about a pat on the back from you or any other random in this thread. Don't attribute where you get your self worth from to me or others. Good for you you went and farmed, aren't you such an angel! Here have your pat on the back.

During my cluster farm I ended up with a couple hundred fragments of different varieties, the vast majority of which were actions and not essences. And even then, plenty are for tanks and I don't tend to tank that often for casual content. So yes, you're babyraging at others for not doing what you want. I am just pointing out you are basically screaming into the void for all the good it will do you. Nobody is changing for you.

Can't speak for Primal but Crystal is even worse.

You'd have to play on JP Datacenters, and avoid Elemental specifically, to have a better experience. And even then it's not fool-proof, just that they're raised in a culture of respecting other people's time so there are far less openly entitled players there in my exp.

Yeah you go to Aether to get away from Crystal. That's its own beast though.
