Again, and again the same errors:

this issue just started popping up for me today game was running fine for a year now on this pc and nothing has changed since before the issue on my pc so this issue just randomly decided to happen on its own. This is UNNACCEPTABLE. I usually praise se for a good smooth quality game, but this dx11 crash issue is not okay when i pay monthly to play this game. THIS NEEDS TO BE EXAMINED BY THE DEVS AND FIXED.

been happening to me the past few weeks tried everything, updating and rolling back drivers, two complete clean reinstalls of the game, checked my temp, cleaned my fans, double and triple checked all overlays arent on, tried every display and window size and graphical setting imaginable and i STILL get these errors. I've played since 1.0 with relatively little issues until the past two weeks or so now this crash happens *constantly*. I will update if i find anything at all that seems to help it, but seeing how many people are having this issue (even after complete OS reinstalls!) makes me unhopeful and has me wondering if it's something on SE's end.
EDIT: I've tried just about everything in this thread as well.
I had these crashes nearly everyday, sometimes several times a day, for months now and finally seemed to have fixed it (*fingerscrossed*). I'd tried a ton of different things and nothing was working but the last thing I did where it finally stopped crashing was I went into my BIOS. I'd had it set to automatically detect my memory frequency and changed that to put the actual frequency instead of auto. While I was in there I also saw that I had a setting enabled that allowed my CPU to auto overclock and I disabled that (I didn't even realize I had that sort of setting). I did all of that two weeks ago and haven't had a single crash since then. I'm not sure which one fixed the issue but one of them seems to have fixed it as before this the longest I went without a crash was a day. Hopefully that helps someone else!
The issue seems to have gotten even worse over the past week or so for me. Nothing has changed on my PC, but I've gone from maybe 1 DX11 crash per day to at least 2-3. As before, no other games that use DX11 are giving me this problem, just FFXIV.
Dx 11 error fixed by: Downloading Visual C++ Redistributable
(Note: At :cool:My Fix:cool: which is at the bottom of the post, I recommend trying that before reading my rambles.;) Who knows, the issue might be as easy as you've thought!)
I'll begin with my incredible journey (A.k.a: Warrior of 1100002). So, I had this error since running Final Fantasy XIV with Windows 10 and had to deal with 1100002 (Savage) IN PF:
1. "Basic" formatting for Windows 10 (Under Settings>Update & Security>Recovery>Reset this PC).
2. Updating Drivers "WITH" (Search Automatically for Drivers). I did that, which most people knows, by: (⊞ +X>Device Manager>Right click all drivers>Update Drivers).
3. I tried MANUALLY update drivers, I followed this guide: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-update-drivers-in-windows-2619214
4. Typing "cmd" in search bar, run as adminstrator. In the command prompt window, typed: "sfc /scannow" (Note: without quotation marks.)
5. Typing "cmd" in search bar, run as adminstrator. In the command prompt window, typed: "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" (Note: without quotation marks.)
6. Typing "dxdiag" in search bar, run as adminstrator. (Note: For searching any corrupted "CORE" .dll files, which I'm sure is NOT the problem for most people.)
7. After resetting, I tried to change the compatibility mode of "ALL" Square Enix Application Folders (ffxiv, ffxiv_dx11, ffxivboot, ffxivconfig, ffxiv launcher, ffxivupdater) to Windows 8.
8. Also, I went to (My Documents>FINAL FANTASY XIV>A Realm Reborn>FFXIV) and changing "Screen Mode" to value of 2. (Note: It changes the startup screen mode as "Borderless Windows". Which I have found that fatal dx errors crash less often in that screen mode.)
9. Tried underclocking with MSI Afterburner, which caused the game to be Microsoft PowerPoint..
And then, guess what? It crashed again! Woohoo!
I finally decided to do a full wipe for my PC. (Note: Please be extremely careful when attempting the steps below as u cannot retrieve any files in any "conventional" way. If done incorrectly, worse case scenario is you can't use your PC and sending to an expert.)
1. I installed a program that wipes ALMOST every piece of software in my PC (DBAN). By following this guide: https://home.bt.com/tech-gadgets/computing/windows-10/how-to-wipe-your-pc-with-windows-10-11364002707321
2. Reinstalled Windows 10 with a OS boot drive. Did the nessesary updates etc. By following this youtube video guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYYoCXh2gtw
:cool:My Fix:cool:
3. Installed Visual C++ Redistributable. (Note: Yes, I know. This fix has been mentioned for so long. But I was confused about which version to download or its legitimacy.)

I had this issue once several months ago and a clean install fixed it.
My wife has been having the same issue for the past 2 days and cannot log in. She has been playing quite a bit this weekend with no issue, only for the constant crashes to happen in the evenings. At first it was a specific spot in Gridania or capitol cities...now it's even dungeons, and just about everywhere in the game.
I don't mean to be that guy, but we're happily paying two subs and frequent the optional items in the mogstation. We'd like to be able to play the game.
I solved my previous error by rolling back with a system restore, now I'm having a crash to desktop (which this forum is full of it looks like) so im starting to think this is an issue on SE's end
I just started getting this today as well. I was really looking forward to the patch.
