It looks interesting and fun and probably just fine in dungeons, primals, and sort mode stuff. My biggest concern is for progression content where raw healing and damage reduction is important along with consistency which the randomness of the card draw cannot be relied upon.
At least in the design of coil it would have been an issue for progression but maybe new raid design will be different? (I'm hoping for AST changes than to change raids to accommodate job issues). Time will tell but so far the feedback is inline with my initial theory crafting with my cohealer.
