£130 =/= $130

I'm on the same boat as many others when i say i will not buy the physical CE. Infact, i'm quite tempted to not even get the digital CE now after all of this shit. Perhaps some of our local retailers will be more willing to shave the price, i'd assume they can manage to do so by importing a lot of EU copies and selling them in the UK.

I have the CE for the original game and ARR, i bought a second collectors edition for my brother, I've brought many friends to the game, I've bought from the Mogstation store, I've been happy to throw all my cash at you but... i draw the line here.

I will not be treated like a fool. If you can't be bothered to use proper global currency conversions, then you just won't be getting my currency.

Also what's up with having to buy the collector's edition seperately for every platform you own the game on? You expect me to buy it twice, once for PC and once for PS4? It's the same account! I already pay a sub fee. Don't be jerks please. :I

To be fair, this is already how it works with ARR. Every platform needs a separate key. Just buy CE on one platform, and regular on another.

More specifically, whilst I believe they can set the UK price to whatever takes their fancy, I *think* they are in breech of EU sales regulation by refusing to allow us to pay in Euros.

shopping at a supermarket
buying products online
....
If an online shop refuses to sell you an item, or a supermarket refuses to give you a loyalty card, or you are charged a higher booking fee for your holiday simply because you live in a different EU country, then your rights are not being respected.

Well, as the stuff is region locked NA/EU/JP and the UK is in the EU, why not just buy the EU version for €130? That's £92 and as it's in Europe, no import taxes and such. Just don't buy it in £.

And no, SE won't comment on this, how can they defend the indefensible?

/edit - was I beaten to that? Yeah, SE cannot refuse to sell the EU client to you, as we're members of the EU and have free trade agreements, it's why there is price parity with £/€ for digital medium as we're allowed to buy anywhere in the EU.
