Its the same thing trying over and over again untill it works, thats no grind thats monotony!

-duct tapes your mouth- you have very alluring eyes and a nice personality. Please relax with that tirade exclamation posts. I told you there are guides for it, that in itself greatly reduces the grind difficulty compared to depending on a bunch of other people to know the fight/roll against I think idling whilst in the appropriate spot won't make me want to rip out my hair.

Yeah, except there are people, like myself, who have seen literally over 15 mounts drop and have yet to win one. Glad you feel the need to protect your rare item.

I have put in the time and effort farming these damn mounts and have nothing to show for it. These mounts only serve as an incentive for as long as you don't become cynical. At this point, I don't even help people with primals anymore because of how much I hate them and the bad luck I have had.

The mounts only serve as a deterrent to me now. I don't want to see another one drop only to get my hopes up and lose the roll.

I would have been happy for just one, even the most common one would have made me happy.

Well I was hoping this thread would go away so I'm not reading it much anymore. Increasing the drop rate % will have an effect where the loot collectors come along to try and catch em all.
Devil's advocate or not, SE has spoken on the matter. Time to let it go. I still want the bomb/cactuar earrings I missed out on (and they were easily obtainable at the time but I didn't buy them, not knowing they were a limited offer). I had to drop that, time to drop this.

Sorry luck hasn't been on your side with the dice. It was the same for me with T8 trying to win Sands of Time. How do you think I feel now that they are a Hunt welfare item?

You know there's the possibility of them bringing them back. If they do will you go and obtain them?

I'd be stupid not to. However I'm now at peace with the fact that they were an exclusive at the time and I didn't simply 'collect' them.

So if they increased the drop rate of the mounts for a limited time. Would you be upset? If they added anything rare you missed and you went in obtained it. Would you feel like a hypocrite?

Well, raid gear can be handed out for little to no effort in this game. Yet, vanity stuff like the apkallu minion or a nightmare whistle involve way more time investment.

This game better fix this sort of backward logic come the expansion or players, such as myself, are going to get burned out. The only reason I logged in this week was for the weekly coil clear. The game is becoming a typical eastern style grind fest.

No I wouldn't be upset. I think they should put X Primals into Duty Roulette however, which should incentivise some activity around them again (and if the hunt ever dies down a bit).

Let me ask this question:

Of those 3,000 times how likely are you to see weapons? You HAVE to take into consideration mounts/materials aren't the only thing these fights are for. Yes mounts are nice if that's your cup of tea, but suffice to say, it's all random. I've literally seen 3 weapons (SCH Book, 2 Tidal shields), someone obtaining the barb and the primal whistle all in one fight. They're rare but it's also random. It's more of an incentive to go back and help people who are looking to do it even if you need none of the weapons/shields - if you sit there and constantly grind it for that specific purpose, you'll definitely be disappointed.

They're better off making these ~~cash shop~~ mog station items at that point.
