Not really. If the party was struggling, a RDM would be rather valuable for verraise/verheal and should've gotten a priority rez. If not either healer could have easily spared a gcd to Rez.

I get it, you're tired of getting **bad** boosters, but not **all** boosters are bad.

I don't really have a dog in this fight either way but I think it's a mistake to assume people know to raise the red mage asap. I've seen healers raise samurais of all things over red mages.

I think many don't stop to think about it. They just raise the first person they click on.

I didn't mean for that post to become a debate. I just wanted to share his account, which was them (knowingly, on purpose) keeping him dead. It's just a ridiculous scenario all around. ^^;;

I don't really care how good or bad people are, but this was pushing it for me. Healer couldn't keep me up to big pulls, which was fine. I've dealt with this before. Then I died to a 1 pack. Both dps were casters and kept running the fixate/tether mob on them in circles and didn't do damage.

Had to solo the first boss from 20%. Everyone else died, they didn't ask for mechanics I didn't explain, not upset by this.

Had a somewhat smooth but slow run to second boss.

Smooth fight. Alright, maybe everyone has it together now.

Get to last boss. 8 wipes. BLM and RDM kept running off the sides trying to avoid lasers. Healer couldn't keep me and themselves up, randomly died to lasers 5 pulls in. Complains that the boss is bulls**t and doesn't give him time to heal.

On pull 9 I solod it from 15%.

I don't think I've tanked since, honestly.

As a Dark Knight, I joined a clear party for Innocence EX to help the Warrior tank out with his clear. We've had runs where some DPS kept getting hit by the same tether mechanics or became too greedy for DPS to the point where they got knocked out. When 2 DPS left, 2 different DPS players joined the party. In a few attempts, we beat Innocence before he finished casting his second set of the 4 Starbirth aoes. Four thing beautiful things happened from clearing Innocence EX:

1. Warrior tank and a few others got their first time clears.
2. Warrior tank got 3 Immaculate Fending Accessories.
3. I got my 300th win for the armored tank mount for the Dark Knight role.
4. The Innocent Gwiber mount trumpet dropped and I won it with a 97.

My last Dohn Mehg run for the night on my RDM, everyone gets in and after a few seconds we start to run to the first mobs. Tank pulls the first pack, doesn't use Interrupt just straight on goes to the next pack. At the second pack he ends up dieing not too long after due to the Scholar lagging a bit, so we all wipe. After reviving the tank stays in place for about a minute, then starts going before stopping again. The rest of us start getting close but not within pull distance of the first pack again when the tank does a ready check. 3/4 for it (pretty sure someone had whatever it was that made them always say not ready for so really 4/4) and then promptly leaves.

30 seconds later we get a new to the dungeon GNB tank who does single pulls which is nice both because Dohn Mheg always felt to me like the hardest dungeon to heal as a WHM and the Scholar still had some lag up till near the second boss from what I could see. Dungeon goes fine with them from there on.

Second dungeon of ShB. Final boss does the ‘walk on a tightrope’ thing.

I decided I wanted to show off by hitting Sprint, and immediately yeet myself off the first turn.
