Request to unlock Hempen set styles

I'd like this. The midlander tank has been an envy of mine for a while.

Gimme that 'qote top dang it.

By the time any of the cats realize that the Midlander version is not all it's cracked up to be, it'll be too late. Muhaha.

Pfff I want the Au Ra one. You can take the Miqo'te one, I like sharing.

I'm already stuck with the Midlander one anyway. No reason not to give me the rest at this point. Not like my race even has their own :P

They won't do it. It's obvious. For whatever reason.
Or, who knows. Maybe someday a Info on the Lodestone will pop up.

One would hope that viera will get a unique set at some point. There was obviously not enough time to make one and with the time it's taking to get new hairstyles who knows really if we'll ever get one.

I have a great glam idea, but I need the miqo'te (female) hempen top. It is the perfect neutral. I don't want to play as miqo'te, never liked them. I prefer au ra. Unfortunately, au ra probably get the worst, if not one of the worst hempen tops in the game, in my opinion. Even if I switched to viera (excusing the limitations) that top - the midlander variant - sucks because of the undyable leather bits.

Hempen sets have already been watered down considering viera/hrothgar not having racial uniques. Please unlock them at this point.

Female Au Ra hempen top is most definitely NOT the worst hempen top. I would like to wear that shit. Would work well with my outfit.

The worst is the Highlander one. It's nothing but a bunch of leather straps and a bra. The leather straps don't dye, either. When I switched from Miqo'te to Highlander, my Hempen Camise was the first glamour item I threw out.

Always was jealous of Elezen and their detached sleeves, though. That's the sort of top that would be perfect for my Viera.

So... I kind of had a pretty big moment of weakness. I really wanted to play with my glamour options, and trying things on with the Miqo'te top.... so... I... bought a fantasia... then I realized, again, I really just don't like miqo'te... at all.. It's gotten to the point I can't even play one anymore, I can't stand them. I like au ra, and viera. That's about it... So, I bought another fantasia, but instead of switching back to my au ra, I had the bright idea, "well, I don't want to waste all that money", so I used that second fantasia on midlander, because while I love viera, their limitations annoy me to no end. Now I am down 20 bucks, (after already spending 30 bucks on fantasias this month, by the way) and I will most definitely spend another 10 later this month to switch back to au ra. I kind of made a bad call... but I really wanted to try out my glams...

Anyway... I am once again asking for hempen styles to be unlocked for all races.

I often see the hempen chemise that the smaller girls wear and it’s just really simple and nice. Like a staple top in a wardrobe.

The one my character gets is this horrible stringy thing that I’d never really use.

Highlander's not only looks terrible, with all the nasty undyable bits, but tasteless as well. I guess some people like it cause boob?

I see we have a contrarian in our midst, could you inform people why you wouldn't like these extremely generic, non-race related sets that are arbitrarily locked to individual races; aside from the Hyur set as its also already used on Viera, to not be available for all races? We're not asking for the race gear itself; god forbid, just the literal Hempen Camise and Hempen Pantalettes.

They've only been gathering additional feedback about this since 2017, give them some time guys. :rolleyes:

As well as the hempen undershirt and underpants. Don't leave the dudes out. I know several people that would love to have the hrothgar speedo.

I just want a nice top. As a Lalafell you either have to wear a bikini top or a potato sack. There is nothing in between. SE even acknowledged that by putting Rowenas Lalafell employees into bikini tops, while other races are wearing the hempen tops.

Regardless of what I think about the glamouring limitations in general, for the specific subject of the hempen sets, I'd say unlock.

The reason is simple: those items have nothing really iconic about them that would scream race X, Y or Z, unlike for example, the starter racial outfits.

However, despite being simplistic pieces of clothing, most of the individual pieces can be used separately to complement more intricate glamour set ideas, and having all of the hempen sets available would only broaden up the creative spectrum of what can be done.

Lore?... Where? When I look at the Hempen sets I only see extremely generic undergarments. This is so true that Viera didn't even get an unique set and instead just got what Midlanders use.

They never talk to us. Chances are we'll never know.

i understand people who are against unlocking classes specific gears since each has it's onw unique signature set , and some would look ridiculous for example a tank wearing white mage set . although the restriction on doh/dol sets is ridiculous in my opinion :rolleyes:
but for the race restriction i really don't understand why are you against it ?
some of them are really too cute to be restricted to one race :(

I think it just goes without saying? I don't know the names of the male versions—or didn't, rather— but since the thread is about the "Hempen set styles", it felt unnecessary to be so specific.

I’ve been waiting on this to happen ever since I heard about this around 2017/2018 from friends. To actually see the thread for myself, I now see that the community managers and dev team try their absolute hardest to not communicate with the playerbase. I see that now due to the lack of live letters accepting questions about development like they used to. Sad.

It is clear to me now, that they have no intentions of implementing such a minor glamour request (which is highly requested for years) and their community managers have no intention of interacting with us anymore. And this most definitely won’t be added in 6.0 or even 7.0. I’ve completely given up hope for this long awaited request.

What is even the purpose of this website if you do not implement highly requested features that are clearly well within reach? It’s not like we are asking for a character creation overhaul. It does not take FOUR+ YEARS to unlock hempen designs for all races. I think you guys at the dev team just refuse to do it and won’t let us know.

If you don’t want to implement this, fine. But at least let us know you’re not adding it so we don’t become hopeful for no reason. The lack of communication here is astounding...

Sadly it's nothing new, some people are still waiting for more Egi glamour since Stormblood which they actually confirmed several times they would still be doing and then... didn't? They never really gave an explanation for that either.

Would be nice if sometimes they said "Sorry guys, we have a lot on our plates right now so it won't be in the near future" or even just flat out said no (which does happen on occasion, like with playable childlike races), but more often than not they seem to just go completely silent on things and leave people guessing.

With how long it's been I'd wager they considered unlocking the hempen sets and then it fell by the wayside for whatever reason and now they're reluctant/uninterested to either confirm or deny anything in case they change their minds in the future.

It might still be on the table but with a very, very low priority.

Egi glamour, nothing... give me an equivalent of the /bahamutsize command for carbuncles, and make the current size the small option. Let me make my carbuncle the size of a St. Bernard. Let me have a giant glowing puppy the size of Diamond in Idyllshire. :P
