personally I think the white scales look better just because against the darker skin it makes them pop more. But I guess it depends if you want them to stand out or blend in more. ^_^

I mean surely you'd end up stabbing yourself right away if you so much as tried to lift your arms?

While I have no intentions to change my character's race anytime soon due to events in the game's story, if I ever do eventually decide to change my character to be an Au Ra it would probably look something like this.

I really like this Au Ra for some reason! She looks great with hat items on! Which is not the case for alot of characters.

I ventured in again and picked a different face, but I couldn't part from my favorite hairstyle! The usual palette swaps with changed only in scales and face paint. Isn't it crazy how different people look at night?

Still flicking through hairstyles. Thankfully changing this aspect is just an aesthetician visit away. Think I'm all set for launch now. :)

These are all great looking Au Ra...but am I the only one bothered by the fact that the horns sit on top of the hair? Especially in these male screenshots, it looks like the horns are just stuck on the sides of their heads...right over the hair. This is one of the reasons I will most likely not be joining the incoming Au Ra legion...lol

They do connect to the skull, its just difficult to see the thinner connecting piece from certain angles. Most of the horn or hair styles tend to cover it up, especially when looking from the sides.

I think I see what you mean on the 2nd hairstyle. You can see right under the horns that are part of the hairstyle.

The horns that are connected to hairstyles are clearly accessories, not actual horns (Xaela do not have white horns as per lore, but one of their hairstyles does), so that explains their floatyness :)

Doh! That makes sense. Dunno why I didn't think of that. Thought it was a bit weird having off coloured horns with some combos hehe

I thought so too at first, but if you look closely at many of the hairstyle-horns, they are not only in different colours than the proper horns and scales, but also often have different, less detailed surface textures that indicate they are not made from the same material. And, like I said... according to lore, Xaela would never have white horns (they are the very cultural identity of the Raen), but one of the hairstyles comes with white horns.

Also, there is nothing speaking against Au Ra changing their hairstyle (they braid, obviously they care about hairstyles), and if those horns were attached to their skulls... ow.

I wish they would remove the extra horns from any of the hairstyles that have them. They make no sense to me as these styles with the extra horns attached don't match in style or color to either the Raen or the Xaela.

Those horns that are a a part of hairstyles are probably accessories. Probably made out of aldgoat horn or something.
