You think its aganist the NDA? I highly doubt it.
Oh yah, that's against the NDA to the point of "why has SE not pulled them down is a mystery", all those picks are against the NDA. What i can say is that all were made not by SE but by a person NOT affiliated with SE (unless am mistaking).. In which case that is a direct violation...
Only so yah, against the NDA, unless i see SE say other wise.Quote:
Disclosure of Proprietary Information
As stated in the "FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Tester Agreement," testers are prohibited from publicizing any proprietary information related to the Alpha Test on external sites. In the event that we confirm that infringement has occurred, your rights to be a tester will be revoked and your FINAL FANTASY XIV account will be suspended.
We will announce if and when Alpha Test-related details can be publicized, so please take great care in their handling until they have been made public. For feedback and discussions between testers, please use the dedicated tester forum, which will open at a later date.
That would be quite the mystery. A Japanese website, a popular website, pictures up for a while now.. lol
(edited out a few digits on the link :P do it to my quote in your post :P- if it really is NDA)
I would definitely think it was made by a person since the names are blurred out. Just amazed an official website would think to post if not given permission.
Maybe Rein can say otherwise
If their is special permission and all that it's OK, but SE are not know for that... People in alpha can't say they are in alpha do to NDA... now picture a person posting photos on a public site, that whole page you linked to is against to NDA to the point of SE should be investigating and shutting it down like no tomorrow... SE asked people to respect a work in progress hence the NDA...??
Twiddle was correct, posting in-game alpha screenshots publicly is against NDA but linking it to here? No, you see those names in the pictures are blur and it's hard for Square Enix to detect who and who did it. I don't think Yoshi-P wants to ban more players and he himself realized it that was his fault for not giving us more information what limited alpha really is.
So many vague concerns anywhere now and it's just like people think Final Fantasy is dead after FF6, FF7, FF10, blah blah. :3
A better solution would be... We never talk about in-game alpha shit ever again. :P
SE can quite easily figure out who made those screenshots. The person who made them neglected to blur out the Minimap and the in-game clock (They didn't have it set to the timelocked game clock, it's the actual time). So technically SE can, like Blizzard has done before with their NDA breachers in Beta's past, use the information (Location on map + Time) to find out exactly who was at that location at that time. I'd guess they either a) don't know about this (which would surprise me), b) they don't want to go all-out tracking down NDA breachers, or c) they have their servers set up somehow so that they are not able to backtrack and see who was at a specific location at a specific time.
Pictures aren't as damaging as videos. That's why it's mostly easier to find alpha pics than videos.
Yeah except is a popular JP gaming site lol... in case you didn't know Yoshi-P has been giving out alpha pics and exclusive stuff left and right to different sites ..these forums miss a LOT of it ..would you say Dengeki JP PlayStation magazine breaks NDA too? because they have the same pics and others from the official Alpha videos
