I wouldn't mind if they made SCH hard to master if it means that it is rewarding. And for that reason alone, give SCHs CS in the form of the Addenda from 11.

Sure, the lazy healers won't care one bit. But for some people who want to actually play a healer, they'll very likely start questioning why they're not required to heal, then they'll start digging for information and eventually they'll understand the issues.
That's the goal here. To gain the support of new healers who want to be healing, not to correct the attitude of lazy healers who just want to watch netflix and spam Cure.
Most of us are referring to Healers in normal content like dungeons, normal trails, 24-man raids, and solo content. The role just isn’t all that good in those scenarios and hasn’t been since Stormblood.
High level content may require healers yet, but there are some scenarios where Extreme, Savage, and Ultimate fights require only one healer or no healers at all.
Zodiark Extreme was cleared with no healers when it was current content. TOP is also another example.
People do gimmicky shit all the time. Look at all the "only tank" runs.
I understand how you feel. I do wish they made stuff more random and had more random damage output and/or whatever.
That being said, I also duo most of my casual content with my wife, being able to do that without having to bring a 3rd person that we inevitably can't find and would gate is on doing ANYTHING in the game would be a turn off. (We duo criterion and maps and other basic stuff to kill time)
So I'd that content started requiring healers that would kinda suck for me, personally..
It's understandable if you want to do stuff with your wife - but this topic is about the Healer Role essentially being invalidated in almost every piece of content out there. The Trinity System that XIV uses doesn't work if one role can do everything and the other role can essentially keep up with themselves with new healing tools while Healers get the same old healing bloat for the Nth time in a row.
If the Devs don't want to touch the Healing Role and reconsider, then Healers are DOA. You'll get people curious about them over time, but only to be met with disappointment the moment you realize that you can't use anything other than turn into a Glare Mage.
Empathy and being receptive to other player's opinions is also hard.
