I didn't because I believed that instead of saying I, and other healers like me, should be alienated, that you want me instead to reach an accord with players who are satisfied with the status quo. Problem being, they don't want to give on anything.

We want more damage to heal so that our current tool kit is actually worth something. They say "no because it will be too hard for the less skilled". While this wouldn't be an issue if the devs PROPERLY TUNED DUNGEONS. Fine. We'll bite.

We then go to having more dps options. Not what I want at all, but it's all we can get to "reduce downtime" without changing anything else. Fine. They say, "no, because then you high skilled raiders would complain the less skilled or new healers aren't doing enough".

If a new or less skilled healer is healing more than dpsing because they cannot handle the extra dps yet, no one is going to berate them. It isn't as if they're standing around doing nothing but casting cure 1. They're obviously trying to dps and heal at the same time. As an AST I have yet to be called out for prioritizing healing over dpsing or even my own cards. This is an extremely minor issue and if anyone is being harassed report them. Its that simple.

Hardcore Raiders shouldn’t decide balance. Players like myself who do duty finder/do normal raids/extremes/savage and alliance for clears/farming not to just parse orange or w/e it’s called are the average IMO. Not the hyper optimized no offense to people like sebazy.

To ignore the troll for a moment, I saw an article yesterday where Yoshi was interviewed about button bloat. The gist I got from it was

"We did a lot of great consolidation/automatic swapping in Endwalker, but we're at the limit of new abilities as of this expansion. Mostly because of healers. Other roles can get upgrades and combos, but healers have a lot of buttons that do different things so we can't really use the same space saving techniques"

You don't think that maybe that's a sign of a badly-designed kit? That perhaps the reason you find it hard to make skills flow together because they don't interact with one another, and that's a BAD thing?*screaming internally*

Healers are perfect in FFXIV. There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

I think I have read somebody's post before about combining Esuna with Cure I/Physuck/Benefic I.

Personally, I liked that idea while also reminding me of "Purify" from Healers' kits in PvP. Basically to remove debuff with a little reward of increasing the heal amount IF the target has anything removeable. When used plainly without any debuff to remove, it's just a small heal otherwise. Oh, and it's an oGCD too. Copied directly from the official site:

Restores own or target party member's HP while also removing Stun, Sleep, Bind, Heavy, and Silence.
Cure Potency: 2,000
Cure potency is doubled when a status affliction is removed. Can be used regardless of own status affliction.

no dude we NEED to have fey blessing. that regen tick worth of an aoe heal on a minute long cooldown is essential for scholar you see

sarcasm aside, i dont know how they dont notice the "different things" most of healers' buttons do all actually are just the same shit but with very slight differences.

For real though why is fey blessing so bad? It’s so useless, what’s the point?

At least Fey Blessing doesn't cost fey gauge now?
