Not really when you want to maximize your progress in two roles. I have plenty of friends who split their savage lockouts between two characters (one mains tank and dnc, for example) so that they go up evenly.

I also like having lots of rooms to decorate (I infest my FC's house), different flavors of characters, and dress up potential. As I have been playing a long time my alts are all caught up with MSQ with full content clears. The only thing I don't double down on is crafting. My main hand-me-downs crafted pieces for them.

Then again, I do come from WoW where having high maintenance alts was the norm so alts in 14 feels much more relaxed. Assuming you're not just starting them fresh. I just wish your alts could have access to your house :(

I am also a stickler for glam, as Zanarkand-Ronso said. Not all looks suit every character, but I want to wear them all the same. My buff and beautiful femroe gets my pirate gear, my au ra gets my dad glam, and everything prim and proper goes on the viera.

But I stick with viera because I love them anyway. I complain a lot about hair but at the end of the day I do think they did a great job designing them sans the whole head situation. And contrary to what I’ve seen people say since their announcement, I feel they do add something different to the game! I switched a lot before viera came out because I didn’t quite vibe with any of the races that I liked the aesthetic of- they were either too energetic (miqo, highlander) or overly cutesy (au ra). Viera hits that nice spot of mature and strong, but still very pretty. I can see why they get a bad rep for lackluster emotes if someone is used to more energetic ones but for the most part I quite like them.

SAME! I do switch to Au Ra now and then but she just feels so "cutesy" compaired to my tall, strong, mature but still beautiful viera. I like their emotes. I find it so hard to emote on the other races compared to viera.

The only emote I really wish was different on viera is “joy” because they just put their hand on their hip and smile.

The rest, yeah, they just fit!

I'm curious, how would you prefer it to look?

I love how calm and refined the viera emotes are, it's actually what won me over. I loved my miqo but I never felt her emotes fit my character. The viera versions are perfect.

Just need a nice tidy short hairstyle...and then she will be complete. SE plz.

I think for me, when I tend to use the joy emote at someone it’s usually to convey being excited or super happy and while I wouldn’t have her jumping up and down and waving her arms, something a bit sharper and more obviously jubilant rather than quietly pleased would be preferred. The joy emote was the only emote when I first changed that made me go “oh wait did I press the right one?” because I was accustomed to it being a much louder emotion on the other races. I guess I shouldn’t say I wish it was different as much as that it took some getting used to lol.

Seconded on the short hairstyle. I know everyone else is tired of them but I’m begging for more on viera.

Nah you aren't alone. I have seen the mods that allow 2b hair on viera and besides the hairband clipping horribly, the hair itself looks pretty awesome. Then again, most hairstyles look fine on viera, except one braid clipping here or there. But in all honestly, vieras own hairstyles clip with their ears and make very little sense so.....

I agree that the base hairs don't seem to have been designed for the ears from the start anyways. You can find some images of their models by themselves online and it just looks like one team designed the styles and then another just cut holes in them where the ears would be and plopped them on Viera heads.

Or how about descent hair pieces (The few we can wear) that don't look like ridiculous tiny hats or stupid JOJO bows? Because with the super fluffy hair Viera have, we end up look more like toddlers in tiara hair rejects that all went to the same stylist that only knows 8 styles and thinking popping a bow right in teh middle looks good....I am looking at you FRONTIER BOW and you too little tiny Straw Hat that looks like we stole from a lalafell.

Not only are we going to limit your hair choices. we are giving you only the worse of the hair accessories....oh and flowers...because flowers are okay.

Yeah, and I don’t really care all that much about the ears clipping with hairstyles. I hope if the devs are able to port legacy hair to viera that they don’t skip 2B and the braided bob because of the clipping. People who are bothered by it can just not use em- I don’t think it looks so unbearably atrocious that it makes the game look bad.

Yeah more head pieces would be nice. A few brimmed hats, some more metal viera specific pieces like you see in a lot of 12 viera art, bandanas, berets, etc.. But we aren’t gonna get any of that unless they fix the hair. So for now it’s only hoods and helmets sometimes and hair accessories.

If Viera aren't going to get proper hats- (I really want my viera to wear Matoya's hat & other witch hats with her ears sticking out) :c
I'd hope to instead see beautiful hairstyles/ manes for Viera- like Frans giant ponytail- giant braids & big updo's- hairstyles you wouldn't want to cover up
Mjrns bobcut with the black diadem around her ears (why would you want to cover that up?)
Like if SE isn't going to design hats for them, they need to give a better reason cosmetically as to why they don't wear hats bc currently, there isn't much of one imo
