So the real complaint is that JP get drinks with their glamour/chocobo?
Big deal.
Side note, does JP have tax?

No, it's mostly to say that you can't say "the JP players pay xx amount for the mount, therefore the same price on Mogstation would be reasonable", since A) the mount afaik is "free" after you've paid for the maid and butler outfit, and B) they don't pay only for the mount (and outfits), they pay for whatever groceries or drinks or slurpees (whatever that is) they buy, and they get the promotional codes/points on top of that.
Sure, some JP players will probably buy the drinks and such solely for the ingame items, when they might not have bought those otherwise, but... Considering how popular people have said it is in Japan, I'd agree that it's more intended to interest new players. (Of course, 7-11's side of it is to make people buy more drinks, so... a bit of both, I suppose.)
And yes, I'd assume they have tax. But most countries outside of US seem to have the taxes baked into the price, instead of needing to add it on on top of the price tag. In Sweden, the only prices labelled as "excluding moms" (i.e. our taxes on various types of produce/merchandise/services) are directed at companies, who get to deduct any moms paid on their tax statement, or something. Not having a company or my own, or economical education, I don't know the details of it.
I think the 7-11s in Japan sell more then just Drinks.

There, its literally a Dillions.
They can buy food, and a ton of stuff there and groceries. Its not the trashy 7-11s we have here.
They can buy MEAT, Dinners, ECT ECT there. Some people probably go there for there grocery shopping.
It would be the same as me going to dillions and buying 50-60$ in groceries and food and getting a cool item in game. Its nothing but WIN WIN. If it sells for air here it should sell for nothing more then 5-7$.
Ugh they could at least add those to the mogstation then... Not fun to have some parading around with specials just because they play in a different country than you....
Doesn't matter, it ONLY applies to drinks. The list has been posted, and you look silly trying to argue when you have 1/2 the information.
If SE can't find a vendor in NA/EU than can pull it off on the scale that 7-11 in JP can, they will. Everyone's just over-reacting about it.
I am convinced that I am the only person not offended, nor felt like I've been slapped in the face, because of this Japan-only event.
Would it be nice to have a chance to get these items that are currently available in different regions? Sure. Am I going to get myself all out of sorts over the principle of it? Not at all. It would cramp into my time spent putting down the trolls in DF.
Because 7-11 in Japan is different from 7-11 else where. In the west its a food store you might see with Gas stations. In Japan it is apparently a multi-mlillion dollar supermarket with 3 floors and could be better compared to Target and Wal-Mart than AM-PM and Circle K.
The more people keep asking for this the more I question if SE would had used a store that is entirely exclusive to Japan instead of one that techiclay has worldwide locations
