[GM] Please take notice. Make statement on housing.

If Square wants to change the rules on this housing thing, that's fine, but giving out warnings to people before officially announcing the change is complete BS.

Even if the people who sell housing plots are given a warning right now, it doesn't solve anything. The people who bought plots for the sole purpose of selling them won't suddenly disown them because they can't sell them anymore, they will stay empty until there's a safe way to sell them or they get auto-demolished. Nobody wins here, the people who want a house still won't be able to get a house.

And no before I get accused of being a person to flip houses, I own one personal house and thats fine by me.

Report all people selling houses in pf, though the good part is this whole pf house selling docent exist on my server. far less greedy folk here.

Maybe they were warned for abusing PF, as ppl may complian to GM "oh these ppl are not looking for a party with PF" ^^;

And I've been reporting pf's on my server and are taken down shortly after I reported it


And people are the one abusing the system that's like blaming hammer makers fir people bashing people in the head.

Hm, seems if anything there's a fear instilled in sellers. I'm out trying to buy a house, and there's no bites. Even from people whom I know considered selling aren't responding when I ask for more information.

I'm starting to get the vibe people might be trying to play it safe and keeping it within people they explicitly trust.

Edit: Yup, just as I feared. Someone talked to me saying that they tried selling earlier on Hyperion, and the buyer had the plot taken away from them and the seller had the paid for abandon fee removed as well. Luckily the buyer had an extra 30 mil lying around to rebuy the house, but they had to double purchase.

This kind of makes the market ruined for even people who are just saving up to buy a plot for their own FC and not for resale purposes. With people gouging, at least there were options for the most determined, now there's nothing.

How do you report exactly? I either see its under Harassment (which I'd assume would see instant report) or the other one that gives you the form? Last time I did the form it just gave the generic "Thank you" lol

This is enough info for gm to go on, and don't always reply to the player

But if you look at pf, and its no longer there chances are the person got warned to take it down

Second this is why we have the house reclaim system with apartments being added, and new wards in ishguard.

Housing plot reselling shouldn't have been a thing to begin with. Just resell the permit for the house, which you can on then Mb.

After reading much of this thread I see many posts here about reporting those selling houses in PF but what about whose who are advertising buying houses in PF? You can't hope to eliminate it completely unless you go after both :p

Yeah, this falls into the "unintended consequences" of the crusade against selling. I get the anger over the people who buy up swaths of houses to flip. That's terrible behavior. The problem is that for people who want to jump servers or aren't using the house and want to be done with it , they're left with the choice of eating the loss or waiting even longer to switch while the house goes through the 45 day process. During that time it's sitting unused rather than being in the market.

Look, accept the fact that the actions of you and those reporting home sales have consequences on those who aren't flipping houses. If your goal is to shut down the people doing the flipping, you are going to hurt people who aren't. Is it worth it to you? Fine. But don't pretend that you aren't causing innocent parties more hassle.

and what are you complaining about me for? selling house plots was never intended, you are not even buying the plot just bribing the person to reliquish it.

nothing is stoping you from tearing down the house, reliquishing the land and selling the construction permit.

if you want to transfer servers, just do it. what loss are you eating? You shouldn't need to transfer servers all that much.

bribery aka plot reselling was idiotic from the get go. gill can be regained easy and you ahain can always sell the permit.

why do people need to be bribed to open a plot up? you gotta buy it from the game anyway.
