Yes I did realise the thread was basicly a big troll fest since page one, just had to apreciate a good post once I see one (theyr'e quite rare theese days).

No that wasn't /thread. It was a good analogy with a flawed conclusion.

"Teleporing for many people isn't believable, thus it doesn't let them immerse fully."

Is a faulty statement. The very FACT that teleporting is part of XIV's world is proof in its self that it is real and therefor believable. Just like in real life, when you come across new things you never say "that isn't real" you ask "how does that work."

The same logic should apply to fantasy realms. As in, SE should make a Teleportaion quest, granting us access to porting and explaining how it works.

just because something is in a game dousn't make it part of the game world. But it doesn't take away from the immersion.

I like how people are worrying about immersion at time when, even the devs themselves said, the game is still heavily in flux. Its funny how everyone KNEW going into 1.18 that the gap between 1.18 and 1.19 would have us in a limbo state. Yet the level of complaining since 1.18 has actually increased. Seems like the more information SE gives us about what they are doing with the game, the more people wanna cry about it. Almosts seems like they would be better off going back to the time when they didnt tell us squat about what they are doing. How about we worry about immersion or the lack there of once they start talking about charging us? Until then we should all take a nice big spoonful of shut-the-hell up and wait for them to finishing getting their act together. Just sayin.
