The problem with sampling from reports in this thread is the vast majority of player don't bother with the forums, and that vast majority may have at most one level 50 and you can't expect them to have the multi-millions as some people would report here. And the people that share their information here are a self selected group of likely enthusiast so you can expected value should be biased towards the high side.
A little over 600k, I sell things when I can for a decent profit, but I don't watch the market boards like a hawk either.

I really do appreciate the OP for putting this thread up. The information here is very enlightening. I think it is NOT a stretch to say those with multi-millions usually have more than 2 crafting classes at level 50 and and also multiple combat class at 50.

Me and a friend started a new FC from scratch, leveled it and bought a house (and furnished it in lavish fashion) in just under a months time. (and we both have day jobs)
I have all crafters to 50 except cul (45), all Gathers to 50, and BLM, WAR, and WM to 30, MNK to 50 with the rest of the classes above 15
most I ever had was 200K, but then again I get very little play time and no crafter classes at 50 yet. I'm slowly leveling those along with a gathering class because they seem to be the key to making quick gil fast even with little play time.
/sigh we'll see...
Just about to 3 million as of yesterday. I had around 500k at the start of 2.2, and nearly 2 million by the time 2.3 hit. I've just been doing dailies for the most part, so dungeon rewards, daily hunt marks, treasure maps, retainer field explorations, beastman dailies, and challenge rewards have made up the bulk of my earnings. I've only had a few "lucky" drops to sell or craft into sellables, which would have been worth about 750k of the total. I do have some crafting supplies that I could turn into a fair bit of cash if I wanted to, as well.
Had close to 2 mil at one point but now have around 800k
I do not craft but made most of my gil from botany
My retainers just bring me fish more often then not so not gil made from them, they are sooo fired ;)
