I'd love a citation that they built it around casual players. Whether it's boring or not is subjective. If they offered more customization people would just go with cookie cutter builds the majority of the time while simultaneously complaining that not every possible build is balanced, despite that being a completely unrealistic expectation.
How can you claim it lacks depth and is simplified without giving your reasons as to why you believe that? There are plenty of crowd control and support abilities too by the way, so I don't know what your definition of the two could possibly be to lead you to such a conclusion. Skill chains seem to be the combos we have right now since weapon skills and TP function completely different to how they did in XI.
Zodiac weapons are not for casuals. They are obtainable by casuals, but they are not designed for them. If they were designed for casuals there would be no reason to create other weapons.
One shot mechanics are fine. Without them, it would be too easy. It's funny how you complain that it's too simple and casual yet in the same post complain about something being too hard.
While this might sound like a good idea initially, you have to realize that this could result in a net loss of loot for your group. This is due to being unable to loot something that you/person could use for an alternate job if you've already gotten loot. It also means you wouldn't be able too loot something if the bosses dropped gear for the same job back to back.
Why do you need to be rewarded for everything? You do realize you're playing a game right? Playing the game itself is supposed to be the reward... I just don't get people nowadays.
