That's just his fans, all those people just created their characters

It’s really sad how our community is working as hard as they can to grief and harass him. I wish they would just let him play the game. He couldn’t even kill an monster on his own. He was lucky to tag anything.
Orbiters means fans. This same thing happens in WoW -- watch any of his streams and you will see people follow him around and try to give him things all the time.
EDIT: "Wow Im killing things so fast" -- meanwhile people are helping him kill the mobs. He isnt even seeing the combat.
Those are his fans. They always do this to him, it's nothing new. Most of them will get bored after he doesn't acknowledge them and they'll go do something else. His viewership has already dropped 30k~ viewers.
That, and from what I can see, a lot of players have the car mount, and that means they would have had to been playing the game for awhile, or had played it years prior.
Holy crap, the people who are sniping and following him everywhere and ruining his combat experience is terrible. This guy can't even enjoy the story without constant interruption. People who just follow him and make his experience terrible should be considered griefing/harassment and stuff like this is liable to get them banned tbh. It's fine to follow your favorite streamer, but just don't ruin the whole experience. :/
Thankfully most of the combat later on is instanced zones. At least he can still enjoy the full experience that way.
Could you say the whole server of cactaur is getting griefed right from so many players from different servers following him around and making it nearly unplayable? I'm afraid to log out or even look at other marketboards.
Not gonna lie, following him around with so many mounts he can't see around himself, and sniping quest mobs, is probably one of the more toxic things I've seen from the FFXIV community.
I don't watch anyone's stream because I don't have that kind of time. I do watch his highlights. Recently he visited a dead classic WoW server and the server didn't explode. While I am sure there are some of his fans following around, the endgame and event mounts suggest there are other people around trying to disrupt his gameplay too. I hope a GM bans the latter.
The good thing is, the FF14 devs can see what problems Asmongold has. They could fix them.
Cheers
I wonder, at what point does he decide to make a second person on a different server (or even datacenter!) to play solo to get an actual feel of the game without being followed.
They're eager to try to paint the community as bad as WoW's. In reality, the most of the people floundering over Asmon right now are his fans that have been playing XIV for a while and have been asking him to play it for years, and are finally able to see their favorite streamer play it. Annoying? Yes. But I'm not going to pretend most of the people on him are griefing him and paint it as 'the community'.
Also, now that he is officially a FFXIV player GMs should start banning people that are saying bad things about him. That falls under the harrasment, defamation and callout section of the ToS.
I dunno man, I'm part of the community and I'm not even in game at the moment. I'm cleaning my living space and neatening up the cabling for my pc.
But definitely the entire community at fault here.
Personally, I wish they'd leave him alone and let him play. This is annoying to anyone.
This is a learning experience for SE, for sure... They didn't expect the server to be on fire this quickly
nah guys, yes, this initial logon is chaotic and crazy but 90% of the people dont have the patience to follow him around for the next 20 hours "griefing" him, the novelty will wear off by the time hes level 15 and everything will be just fine. Hes not stressed, he looks like hes having fun, it's just this inital hype and he understands that which is why hes not bothered
I think I can explain what is going on here with this incredibly scientific diagram:
