This feel, I know it, I'm at 220/240 Soon...so very soon....

I know I just posted yesterday but -shrug- couldn't resist. http://prntscr.com/bpldxu
Congrats to everyone who's completed it thus far! \o/
Kind of sad when the best part of finishing the relic is not having a shiny new weapon, but instead the joy of not having to grind tomes anymore.
That is why tell this day I still advocate the ideal of having the Relic/Anima/??? weapon quest to be more solo instanced focused with Solo Instances that are hard but they are designed to test the player's ability to perform their Job Role and Job's Gameplay Mechanics.
They could even slap in some Solo Boss fights against Iconic FF characters who are or would be considered the Player's Job as a means for cameo/easter egg and to put the Player up against a Hard Instanced Boss that they must handle themselves without the help of other players to either carry or recover from their own mistakes thus requiring them to know how to player their Job more vital with the solo boss battle different for each Job due to being different Characters.
Ya the player would probably die a lot and bang their head on the table but the the end reward is that Relic/Anime/??? weapon as proof you know how to your Job as said Job.
The Secret World did something like this when unlocking their Hardest Dungeon Difficulty with the Gatekeeper Solo Boss that tested the player's ability to perform their Job Role and I do believe such a method would make the Relic/Anima/??? more rewarding as well rather than simply being done with a long grind. Not to mention it can serve as a means to motivate players into improving their skills as the Relic/Anima/??? is the reward for proving the player can play their Job role properly.
So I got back into the game after a while off and I was reading up on the new Heavensward relic and I was wondering if it would be better to spend the time and money upgrading my old relic weapon (it's presently at Animus stage) to skip the 1st relic quest, or should I just go and farm the Luminous Crystals once I get the quest?
Farming the crystals doesn't take that long. Would be a waste to lose that weapon.
Doing last phase now, finally, got 4/80 and will work hard to obtain all 80 within 2 months
Yeah... RNG still sucks... over 30+ Fates in the Forelands and only 1 Earth Crystal to show for it. >_>
I'm starting to think the Zeta Relic is the fastest way at the moment to give some Relic to some of my newly obtained 60 classes as I'm using Eso Tomes for my Main Relic.
161/240 atm.
210/240
So... so close. T_T
Just 10 more Umbrites to go! I'm done for the day, but if everything goes well on Monday I might score another 6 Umbrites and be finished on Tuesday this week! I'm just so tired of running ACF for those 150 Eso Tomes.

I did it! I finally finished my Anima Weapon!
And it looks good with the Pure White Dye on it! ^_^
Gives it that sort of "Yin & Yang" vibe for the weapon. I wonder what the NEXT step will be when it's released.
Finished yesterday. This quest looked scary but it wasn't so bad in the end. Not a fan of how the spear looks though. Maybe it will grow on me.

I just finished my Machinist Anima weapon yesterday.
Now it is just taking things slowly and wait for 3.35 for Deep Dungeon and 3.4 for continuation of stories and next Anima weapon phase.
Got my Guillotine of the Tyrant yesterday. I don't really know what to do with myself now.
UPDATE: I'm currently on the quest, "Coming to Its Own" and I have all HQ items and as for unidentifiable items: Bone-13 Shell-14 Ore-14 Seeds-14; in other words I'm almost done with this long ass step lol
It's definitely not faster. The books are friggin' terrible. I had to wait for four hours for Giant Seps to spawn, and that was one Fate out of 36 you have to do for one step.
The ATMAs took me almost two full days of FATE grinding. I'm doing it just for the glamour.
If you already have the weapon you may as well trade it in, but don't think for even a fraction of a second that doing the ARR would be faster than the first fate grinding step.
Grats. I will probably quit the game before I finish it because the grind is just horrible. I've only got like 15 of 80 mats and none of the crafting items. I have to invest way too much time into the game to make any progress unfortunately and it takes away from playing other games. At the rate I'm going it'll be October before I get everything and I'll be moving into Titanfall 2 by then.
They really like to make it hard to catch up and even worse if you have multiple jobs you want to level.
I need Eso... so much Eso X.X I'm like... 90/240?
Went in late to the grind due to being lazy AF. Did all the crystals in one saturday and the dungeons the next day. Currently sitting on 55/80 on the unidentifieds, 3/5 oils and enough exchangeables to go 5 umbrite/sands out the door. Multitasking is good but I've done nothing but relic grind exclusively for nearly 2 weeks.
A part of me regrets it but dammit I'm in this deep might as well see it to the end.
Just came back from a break and sitting at 36/240, I'll probably grind out all the esos within the coming week. My second anima is going to have to wait after all these esos...

I swear to god, treating that last crystal sand gave me a minor heart attack because I was at 236/240 and two more runs of Aethero would have cost me the remainders of my sanity.
Alas! +4. Thanks for being gentle on my sanity there, rng.
Now I can sink into oblivion, or try slowly working up the unidentifables for my DRG.
I can confirm that, me and 3 others got the missing points as bonis when we used our last umbrite @ 235-237.
perhaps it's designed in such a way that it won't force you to use a crystal sand and Umbrite on anything less than a +3
