Exactly. The book is held in the right hand while the writing and casting gestures are done with the left.

does any 1know on house there is a care taker and how you get his goods
boop because there are some good stuffs in newer posts methink
Right now you can bind your mousewheel to specific functions, mostly targeting. One is to cycle through enemies. I would like an additional option that is just the equivalent of the /tenemy command, always just targeting the nearest enemy.
Please provide an option to make the chat text box right-aligned, and set it on a per-log basis.
Surprised to find we don't have the option of a dodo for our FC emblems.
I would like to see an update to this please. My husband has RP which has him mostly blind with no known cure yet. I am for the most part his eyes when we play this game. But he really has a hard time with the bright fields and other backgrounds where reading is involved. I love to see this option for those who have vision impairments so that they many continue to enjoy this game with the rest of us.
Option for currency display for currencies with a weekly cap to show how much you have earned that week.
You can nowadays choose freely which currencies the currency HUD element shows (up to five, switched by right clicking the icon of the currency) However even for the capped ones, be it weekly or max, it shows only the current amount. Since things like fate gems and hunt marks and stuff hasve varied caps, not to mention the weekly limit in some, having the HUD element also show these would be handy. I keep capping the fate gems as I forget their max is so low for example. Having it shown on my UI along the current amount would be nice.
Not quite. It does in the currency window, but not the HUD element.

This is showing me how many heliometry I have right now. It is more important to show me how many more I can earn this week. The importance of this wasn't lost in the people who designed the original currency window, as well as the Companion App widget.

Or the Lodestone.

The currency HUD element doesn't show it anywhere.
So for the FATEs where you have to turn in X number of items, it already shows how many of the item you have turned in. But I would love for it to show how many of that item you are carrying in your inventory. It feels clunky manually opening your inventory every time you want to check.
Please add toggle for FATE bgm. FATE music ruins immersion and annoys gatherers. It should be an option just like battle music or mount music. I've seen this topic being brough up years ago... Its just on/off thing, shouldn't be that complicated to do.
And when we are in the topic of sound, that one map in Endwalker that starts off with amazing ambient music and end up with repeating song over and over that makes sense emotionally with the story, but doesn't later on while farming. That's too bad it's there always, it downplays the song and messes up with the unique ambience of the map. And I think you have to finish the story (make the music start) to start farming. Truly, breaks my heart, its such a great place...
Agreed. You're sitting there fishing, minding your own business, and then all of a sudden you're listening to FATE music for the next 15 minutes.
IMO, the FATE music should only play if you are actively participating in the FATE. The music shouldn't change if you're on a crafting/gathering class, or if you're not synced down to the appropriate level.
Right? I know it's been almost four years now and it's not going to change, but making that song the normal zone music was an INCREDIBLY bad call. It's good song, and was super cool for MSQ purposes, but as normal zone music that plays on a loop all the time it got very annoying very quickly. Especially if you're doing something that requires spending extensive amounts of time there (fishing.)
I realized this while talking with a friend who started recently but a lot of pretty important quests are kinda archaic to find and I think there should be an in-game way that indicates these quests better.
Specifically quests such as any optional dungeons, raids and trials like Coils of Bahamut or Warring Triads and so on.
I don't think the current "recommendations" system is really good at conveying these ones specifically.
You pretty much have to go out of your way to google it or have your friends direct you to where these are.
I feel like something like how the job quests are shown now would be a nice way to go about it for these.
Agreed. The blue quest icon is great for telling you that this quest will unlock something, but with so many in the game, and no indication of what they unlock, the system has become almost useless to new players. There should be a secondary scenario guide that points to things like raids and trials.
"Will that blue quest NPC give me a 2 minute quest that rewards an emote, or is it the start of an entire alliance raid story? No one knows!"
I hope this is the right place to post this, but there have been countless Eternal Bond Ceremonies that have been missed, or players would camp outside the Sanctuary doors to support their friends on other worlds.
Please allow players to attend Eternal Bond Ceremonies on Other Worlds. Currently, players are restricted to attending ceremonies only on their home world.
At least start by letting people attend all the EB's on all worlds within their Home Data Center.
Thank you for your consideration!
Would it be possible to adjust the location for the level 91 FATE Feathery Dustup? I ask because doing the Pelupelu daily that requires you to carry the crate and having this FATE up at the same time makes it more cumbersome.
That isn't a UI issue and the people who need to see it probably won't if you only post it here. You'll have a better chance if you post on Forum: FATE (to get the FATE adjusted) or Forum: Quests (to get the quest adjusted).

Is it possible to replace the retainer glamour UI with one that uses icons and only shows gear they can equip? This list lacks usability.
Would it be possible to enable option to disable online status in a duty? Previously I've been using my nameplate to discern the center of my hitbox during raid (left picture) which remains very consistent. Now the addition online status in duty since 7.2 has been shifting my nameplate slightly to the right (right picture) and I can't be the only one being affected by this. Thanks for the consideration.

Sometimes when I'm doing something like a fate or a mission in the new Cosmic Exploration zone, the text in the duty list can be very difficult to read on my TV.
I have friends who are color blind as well and I worry that the text might be literally impossible for them to read. I have a similar issue sometimes with the item count in the inventory.
Would it be possible to add a background to the duty list similar to the party list? And maybe something like a thin black stroke around the inventory count so there is always a minimum level of contrast?
Here are some screenshots of what I'm talking about. This text is a bit better on PC, but on my TV they're pretty difficult to read.
Would it be possible to show the boundaries of active fates on the ground in addition to how they're currently shown on the minimap?
I was doing some fate grinding earlier and kept accidentally stepping outside the fate, which can cause enemies to pull back (healing and becoming temporarily invincible) or unsynching me if I'm synched to a lower level fate, both of which are extremely annoying.
Some examples of times I accidentally left the bounds of a fate and wouldn't have if I could see the edge.
- Moving around a large enemy to try to hit a positional for my skills.
- Moving out of a telegraphed attack. If I knew that was the edge, I would have dodged differently.
- Using a gap closer on an enemy that either spawns outside the fate or that was chasing after another player who has aggro.
- Sneaking around enemies to pick up items in a gathering fate.
You can try on multiple items right now, and test-dye each individually. Toggle the 'Save/Delete' outfit button on the fitting room panel after trying on the first piece and it'll keep the most recent item and dyes for each gear slot until you log out or turn off that function.
This may be a bit of a niche complaint, but I've come across it a lot in Occult Crescent lately in Critical Engagements and sometimes in Alliance raids as a Red Mage.
It was a great quality of life feature to add the black health bar above downed party members, this makes it very easy to visually see anyone who is down and might otherwise be obscured or blend in.
My issue is that when there is a large number of people in other parties, it can be difficult to know quickly if someone has already had a resurrection cast on them. Sometimes in the heat of battle I end up wasting MP and Swiftcasts on someone who has already been helped and hasn't accepted yet, or is strategically delaying, or might be AFK.
What if next to the black bar we had a resurrection buff icon with a countdown showing how much time that player has to accept? That way we can make quick and informed decisions about who to use our resources on.
I think it would be helpful if we got a job gauge for fisher. Sometimes when I'm trying to catch multiple different fish at a location or I'm going after multiple objectives in ocean fishing, I think I've switched bait and haven't or have accidentally selected the wrong bait, and end up wasting time in spawn windows.
I'd like to see a job gauge that shows:
- The currently selected bait (along with the number we have left of that bait)
- Any swimbait we have in reserve
- A list of fish caught in the current session at the current fishing hole (similar to the list in ocean fishing). That way we can more easily track how close we are to getting the intuition buff for fish like Gharlichthys (requires 12 Basilosaurs) or Sidereal Whale (requires 1 Phallaina, 2 Unbegotten and 3 E.B.E.-9318).
- The amount of time we have until we're going to get the "the fish have become wary" message
I would love an option to retain pop-up help for the map at least, when I disable the "display pop-up help" option. Currently it removes everything, both for the map and actions.
Option to display every second of a countdown
The current countdown only shows every interval of 5 seconds and the last 5 seconds on the screen but I would like an option for it to display every second of the countdown.
Option to scale enemy progress bars separately from display names
This is currently my only real gripe with the new overhead cast bars, I like having my display names the smallest they can be and because of that the progress bar also scales down which makes it harder to read, and in some cases harder to see, an issue I noticed especially in the new 7.3 trial. An option to set the size of enemy cast bars independently of their display name would be really helpful.
Add the mount tilt slider to the list! We want our fun back!
I don't know if it's possible since Island Sanctuary exists within an instance, but a Summoning Bell on the island would make adding outside furnishings a lot easier than having to carry a bunch of stuff in our inventory.
I would like more options for displaying Enhancements. Mainly to separate buffs into different categories.
- Damage reduction/absorption buffs.
- Damage increase buffs.
- Procs/Status/Stance buffs.

Need more options for Element Size. Either make the size fully customizable (manually enter digits), or add increments of 5 (100%, 105%, 110%, 115%, etc..)

While the Community page was a good start, there should really be an in-game feature that allows both old and new players to go to and see what FCs are recruiting.
Case in example https://imgur.com/a/KnGfWlU
Why not put a recruitment board here? Limsa and Ul'dah don't have one next to their OIC Officer of Arms NPC, but I'm sure one could be added in a patch.
