Just like no one here read that they were talking about the opener. Have some respect for people and stop assuming things, you don't know how their hot bars are organized nor if they read any of the skills, just because they dislike something doesn't mean they have not given it attention. The change was intense, of course there'll be discussion and people that dislike it.

The new version is just another glowy-button whack-a-mole just like BRD, DNC, and RDM. There is no resource to manage, no planning, you just hit stuff in order and change to the next phase. It actually punishes you for trying to double-weave oGCDs. Add in the pet AI having travel time and firing off AoEs that only hit 1 target unless you target the enemy that is the exact potion that it will fire correctly.

The whack-a-mole proc based gameplay is why I can't stand those jobs and why it kills me what the turned SMN into. There is no amount of experience playing it that will make it feel anything other than awful.

I mained SMN since ARR in 2013 and gotta say I love the new one. I like it's simple, like dancer. I don't want it complex, honestly. Make the rotation easy and the fights (mechanics) hard.

Only thing that needs to be sorted now for summoner is to have better looking gear. Why can't we have gear that looks like Alphinaud new gear. Summoners gear out of all the other jobs always looks bad.

Can someone show me their action bar for the new summoner. I'm a total brainlet and when I changed to Summoner to take a peak at it; I was shocked that it became a totally different class. I can't login so I don't want to use the time if I actually log in tooling things around.

It won't take that long to sort your bar out only took me a few minutes.

Legit I been going
Energydrain-summon bahamut, deathflare-enkindle bahamut-spam the deathflare ruin until it runs out, then titan/garuda or ifirt they do damage -gemstone attacks-fester/painflare depending if its aoe or not-ruin x2 or 3 depending-phoenix-phoenixs attacks/enkindle its single ruin or aoe attack repeat gemstones and energy drain.

Legitly dont see any glows it pops out fast and its legitly a complete opener

While keeping an eye out for moves that midgating is worth it to pop carby defences

Legitly a paragraph of buttons just to open lol now it just needs after opener moves

Oh cool, like I said I haven't really had a chance to take a peek at it yet. If I can tool it up that quick I can take the time. I'm hell bent on the story, but I also want to fiddle with summoner a bit along the way.
