The thing is, even if the final, official look ends up being something completely different, it shows that they were considering (or are?) going for the "highlander Miqo'te" look, which is the root of the problem imo.

I would not complain if they look like the picture. I much rather they look as is I do not enjoy beastial races and I was looking forward to playing as one. Though if they looked like males I would be very disappointed cause to me they look ugly.

Sorry Im a little confused here...You dont like Beastal Races, but you were looking foreword to Playing as one?

If Im getting you...you like Half Animal People? Remember we already have Miqote, Au-Ra and the Viera. See there are 3 options Right there that are Pretty Humans with some Animal Features. But we dont have a FullOn Beast Race. And the Point of their Creation was a New Diverse Option.
If they had Humanoid Faces, the Point would be gone.

If it goes to the Hrothgar, then we'd have to wait longer for a new race that would have been better suited. Such as Ivalician Moogles.
Or say the No Mu, Namazu? Just there are better ideas and concepts then trying to make Hrothgar short for the lolz.

It is also possible that we may never get another small race, and small lion gals would be kinda cute, I think it would be an interesting take on a Hrothgar female.

Sure might be better options but no matter how unlikely a small female hrothgar (which is legit pretty much close to zero) the chances are still greater then the chance of them adding another race into the game.

So I will always advocate for a new smol race whenever I can even if I am more likely to win the lotto 46 times in a row while not even playing the lotto.

Would be the most jarring sexual dimorphism in the game (more so than Au Ra), especially if they decide to go the human face/body look for them (would they even be a Hrothgar at that point) ._.
