Well that's if what happens is going to be that simple.

What I mean though is, is there going to be a time lapse to allow every person (npc) to settle back into their (new) daily lives? It would be kinda stupid for every NPC to be so blasé about the whole event that literally JUST occurred.

Could be the "closed beta" period where only us account holders will get to take part in an event that spans the two weeks (or however long) that shows the world getting back to order.

Would definitely be interesting, and it would provide closure to those of us who've stuck around so long.

I think skipping some years only makes sense, you can't rebuild stuff overnight, not after such a big catastrophe.

If they do this, I will probably make my character appear much older when recustomizing. Grey temples and stuff :P

Wtf did I just read about Summoner, you have a free company.. you can defeat the primal when available.. to summon it once, then its gone, the whole world is told when a primal is summoned?? i don't understand, do you unlock the mini? and can summon primal for like, hard-@ss fights?

Summoner won't summon the primals. They will summon lesser spirits, like wind elementals and things like that.

The big summons are for LS's that can summon only once after they defeat that specific primal. The LS can only hold onto it for a specific time.

a summoner without primals, is like a mnk with no hand weapons lol, i really hope they would reconsidder that

LS can summon? I thought it would be the free companies which are able to summon the primals.

I really hope summoner will be able to summon these too. Who wants boring spirits and elementals?

I think the world will melt and mix with the past to create a new world. 2.0.

Hm...looks like FFXIV 2.0 will be available in China. Starting some time in 2013. That's interesting.
