Things to think about before you call someone "Bad"

Exactly. People like that are the reason that I dont believe in the whole "only give advice when they ask you for it"-thing - because the people who need "advice" (or rather: an explantion of the most simple and basic things) the most are also the ones most oblivious to know about their desperate need to look up a tutorial or a job guide. They've cleared everything - or rather: got carried through everything - so they must be doing GREAT! They havent read their tooltips and took a minute to think about what they've read, so they'll be the last ones to (self)reflect after a wipe and ask themself "Could I have caused or prevented this?"

They need to get the message of "You're not doing fine, sorry" - personally I prefer to deliver that in the form of a polite message, either with exact advice or a general "Please look up a guide on your job".
The method of silent kicks might work aswell.

...even though, thinking about it now, we both might be wrong - they're not even reading their tooltips, so why would they read my advice... and they're not asking themselves if they made a mistake or could have done better after a wipe, so they probably wont selfreflect after a votekick either (funny enough that guy complained in his first thread that he wasnt kicked sooner - he was kicked at the last boss and complained about his time being wasted. So... if he'd gotten kicked sooner, he would have just jumped right into the next party, learning nothing)... at least after a kick they're not your problem anymore.

I once sneezed in the middle of a savage fight and it lead to a wipe. I ended up going in the wrong direction and caused a horrific domino effect. My static thought it was hilarious because they heard the huge sneeze and saw the disaster that followed, but before I could even finish typing "sorry I sneezed and it made me turn the wrong way" in party chat to explain this to the pug he called me a f-ing idiot. However he also thought it was funny when he read it. We pulled again and killed the boss nice and smooth.

I get that wiping sucks and silly mistakes are tiresome, but some people really need to chill out. Don't be so quick to assume someone's mistake is because they're a bad player. Sometimes things can happen that are totally out of a person's control. People get lagspikes, get startled by something irl, their cat could have unplugged their keyboard...or they sneeze :D

It's not difficult to wait a few moments for an explanation before you react with harsh words.

Nevermind the fact you have people at level 70 who let the MT die because they haven't figured out Cure I isn't going to work on a 60k buster.

Yes, it took a while and despite someone here saying that I had no business in doing max level dungeons I actually learned how to play DRK. And I can tell that from my personal experience that playing tank in max level dungeons is nothing you can learn in leveling dungeons, because of the concept of mass pulling.
Also when you don't set the bar higher than your skill, how will you be able to reach that higher bar?

I had never much trouble with holding enmity, I read a guide, I played WHM before for 2 years, so I had plenty of time watching other tanks and I had a basic understanding of how to play a tank. However, enmity, dps, defense, resource management and mechanics took a while to execute at the same time. I had especially trouble with the defense part ^^;

I don't have a parser myself, because I am playing on PS4, but FFlogs says I pulled 3000 - 3200 dps today in Ridorana, while maintanking in Grit. I don't think I am doing too bad.

I know I am good enough to play the DRK without Grit, but I am getting too nervous. Maybe if I had a static of friendly people where I feel safe, but not with random people.

For example I am going to a special dentist for people with anxiety - not because I am worried about the treatment, but because I am worried about the dentist, the person.
Yeah, it is kind of ironic playing bad (using Grit) as a sefety net against people, however, I am staying away from ex trials and savage raids and it works for me. Except of the feeling bad part because I know that I underperform.

I know how to hold enmity, doing mass pulls, use defense cd's, placing enemys and what all my skills do and when I have to use them. So maybe I am not that kind of bad player you are talking about, or am I? At least I never got kicked :O

I honestly feel the 24-man bosses should have, at minimum, a 13-15 minute enrage timer. Throwing bodies at a boss until you win 20+ minutes later is not good.

Famfrit: A wall of water slowly closing into the middle of the arena. If it reaches the middle, players take continuous damage (like Tidal Wave).
Belias: Maybe have a floor break every 30 seconds (you'll know what will break as it'll use the clock AoE marker).
Construct 7: Math Quiz returns one last time, however your HP does not reset back to what it should be.
Yiazmat: His 10% phase is kind of an enrage. His Rake-around-the-Rosies is almost (if not, guaranteed) a one shot.

Death Gaze in Dun Scaith actually does. And it's a wonderful wake up call for people. Not to mention, it puts some responsibility on the DPS whereas now you just throw bodies and eventually win. Sadly, it's this type of design which encourages complacency.

Real talk, the worst that's gonna happen if you stay in tank stance is your damage will be low. In 99% of cases, it will not prevent you from clearing, even in EXs and some savages. If I'm hitting enrages, I'm gonna be looking at the DPS first and foremost, and then I'll be checking deaths and such.

It is sub optimal but I imagine you'd stay away from the content where it truly makes or breaks a run anyway so don't stress over it.
