They are adding hairstyles now. It's almost safe to presume we will have most shared hairstyles relatively soon, and future ones fitted as well. A wish of mine would be to get some more racial unique hairstyles, but I am pretty doubtful that they will do that. At the very least after we get our shared hairs available, hopefully the new hairs are of quality and look good on viera.

As someone who was a viera day one, I am more and more in a satisfied state. I honestly have more hair that I like and can use on viera than I would on au ra, and with a few more hair additions, miqo'te as well. It's like I was saying, one of my favorite hairs for a miqo'te I actually prefer on viera, and some of my favorite headgear doesn't clip into the bangs like it does miqo'te either. Hats would be nice to have, and I will still strive and keep giving feedback for them for them to be made available for players who want them, especially artifact pieces, but it doesn't really matter to me personally.

I don't really see a reason to switch off of viera personally anymore, after the more recent hair additions - and there should be more, good hair, additions (hopefully) in the near future.. We still have some desirable shared hairs left! I think my mood has probably been showing on the forums as well, as I have been generally, out of character.. positive! I am quite happy with my most recent rava, I think I like her more than any of my veenas if I am being honest too.

Maybe in the future after the shared hairs are done they can start taking a look at more headgear, it does seem like they have been making attempts to make more useable... Although, I dislike them removing racial features like ears to accomplish such.

Really happy with the new hairs too. I don’t see myself keeping drinking fantasia anymore.

No real reason to, as it would just be switching back when more hairs come out (like $20 worth of fantasia!). Some of the hairs we still have yet to get should probably look pretty good on viera (if done well by SE).

While I've come to terms SE will never fix the bun hat thing. I found these two zootopia fanarts to be what I would want from hats that can't be ear'd very well. I just love how they look even if you're not a flop ear. I can imagine the ears being tied up behind the head like a pony tail as well.

The ungratefulness shown by viera and hrothgar upsets me. The fact that Square Enix created your beloved races isn't enough? What more do you people want? Resources are limited and they are slowly attempting to placate you by updating each with new hairstyles as frequently as they can. If you ask me in my humblest of opinions Square Enix should remove both races in retaliation towards the hate they have shown their creators.

I can understand Viera and Hroth not being able to wear hats of 1.0 till 5.0, but why are they still not able to wear 6.0 hats?

Will this mean that they won't be able to wear 7.0 hats aswell?

The general answer to that is that if the hat requiers hair to be partially shown, it won't work on Viera and Horthgar because they didn't create those models for them. If the model doesn't show hair at all or doesn't affect them - the item typically works (but I've seen exceptions to this rule as well).

And yes, unless they adress the thing with adjusted hair in hats - it might mean that they still will be unable to wear majority of the headpieces in 7.0. They might leave it untill the time they're done with catching up on haircuts (which should be around 7.2 probably if they won't drop the last batch in full with 7.0 release), but I wouldn't hold my hopes on it.

I went viera once shadowbringer early access was released and was one for 4 years but till a week ago I changed to Au'ra due to sick of LACK OF HATS and not seeing how new hats look like. All new hairstyles are short ones that all look same to me.

Because we can't wear most hats, I remember viera race was promised new unique race hairstyles instead but that is long forgotten.

I have given up waiting :)
