Check if they were using their ARR Relic weapon when that happens. DPS should be noticing. Healers probably wouldn't notice since the healing differential is based on the Mind stat and the difference between the level 50 relic weapon and level 60 (non-tomes) weapon is tiny.Quote:

And you're looking at the wrong gear. The Nivana Zeta is 82, the Birch Rod(level 60) HQ is 85 which is why I said "non-tomes", but the last weapon you get from a quest is the "Birch Signum" level 58 HQ which is 84 (Or the green Thavnairian Cane from the dungeon is also 84.) So only a difference of 2 points, not 18.
So as I suggested, someone who is under-performing by such a margin, likely is using a not-fully upgraded Relic weapon or somehow managed to not acquire and equip the weapons given during MSQ. -

I'd become burnt out on WHM after spamming the roulettes and the 60 dungeons for tomes, to the point where I'm accidently taking unnecessary dps risks.... which I'm sure was scaring the tanks (via DF.... our two FC tanks trust me, thankfully, even if I make a momentary mistake) >.> even if I'm usually poised over the Tetra/bene - but they don't know that. They've no reason to trust a DF'ed healer. If I force myself to sit back on the DPS because of a near fall on trash I've been through a million times, I feel wrong anyway. z_z *can feel the 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' judging eyes....*. No tank has died, but I'm sure they panicked, too. ._.
Adding insult to injury - two or three times in one Fractal run at the last boss.... I was -out- of 'the Educator' cross AoE. I was standing right next to the party's BRD and I did NOT linger in the AoE... and yet somehow I got slapped and the BRD didn't.
I move further away from the panels, the next time it happens, and I got slapped with it -again-. I ended up dying to these ghost hit's defense debuffs and we wipe. So, it seems as though I'm the idiot for not getting out of AoEs while I'm... out of the AoE.
The tank mentions that I was standing too close to the panels during that.... which.... the first time it happened, yeah, I was standing next to it, but not -in- it. Second attempt and I still got slapped once but we luckily cleared it (I also moved all the way out into neverland to make sure I wasn't anywhere near the panels -_-). So, I looked like an idiot that can't dodge AoEs that take a year and a half to even go off. The BRD's "..." said much on their thoughts without a single word.
It was like being slapped by a ghost. I can understand if it were a fast acting AoE where a few seconds position lag can get you (like Titan's WoTL, etc), but 'The Educator' is a cross AoE that takes for ever to go off.... so I don't understand...
Ran it again a few runs later (also DF) and I saw the same thing happening to our BLM (or was it SMN?). He was on the opposite side of the 'cross' shape, from me, I saw he wasn't on the glowing panels and moved the same time as me. He got hit. And pretty much reacted, after that, the same way I had the time it happened to me (IE, 'the panels have the plague'...). I SSed him so he wouldn't suffer the same fate as I on that other run.
Ran again with FC later on and...... lo and behold, our tank and DRG were right up next to the panels with the boss on the glow, between them and..... they weren't hit even being right on the edge of the safe panels. So I don't believe it was a matter of how close you are....
Maybe I was position lagged on the server side, maybe it's a bug? Or some weirdass mechanic I don't know about and never saw again....
For an AoE called 'The Educator' I don't feel very educated on what happened -_-a
Anyone got any info on that? -

Not much of a horror story, but I'm getting tired of bad DPS.
As a Scholar my Single Target DPS is around 300, and multi-target is around 5-600. My highest was 800.
These numbers have consistently beaten one Bard, one Machinist, and even one Ninja. My rotation is awful, I often let DoTs fall off and have a bad habit of clipping Bio II. I often use Shadowflare last rather than first, etc.
Basically what I'm saying, is that my DPS is lower than it should be even as a healer, but I'm still outpacing people in Neverreap and Continuum. -

The moment I stop being a healer, things go to hell!
So I decided to try out Machinist and it's fun so far. I run Brayflox Longstop to level up and we get this White Mage who seemed fine until the boss fights happen. In the first two fights, the tank dies and me and the other Machinist have to finish it off. We get to the final boss, we wipe several times due to the healer not using Esuna to remove the poison stacks and healing at the wrong times. Upon further inspection, the healer was ''grossly'' undergeared with level 15-20 gear for a ''level 32'' dungeon AND used accessories that boosted strength and dexterity.
I called for a vote kick and she was booted. Next healer did a far better job. Maybe I should be the one to heal from now on... -

LOL, I ran dungeons on my WHM to go from 55-60... This one WAR I ran into easily took more damage than any other tank out of dozens of runs.. I would have to spam Cure II to keep alive on a single pull, and I only had to do that on two separate runs..... He would try to grab multiple groups then complain when he died because I was OOM. He'd inspect my gear, make snide remarks.. it was grreeaattt
