E3 has officially started as of Today. I don't see any press conference for Square this year at all. Does anyone have any idea how they will release their new info or when is the interview scheduled for?

I don't get where some of you people come off with if you not at E3 then you get no press...
Companies can spend millions to set up booths at E3. The press core for the event is questionable...the event isn't open to the public anymore...
Most gaming products have switched to digital...it's a real case to not even show up for E3. It's better to spend those dollar on your own press and use the dollars more wisely.
The Console/PC market is shrinking compared to the portable smartphone market...the trend is moving in that direction and the press moves with that. Notice most of Square Enix's games showing and giving heavy attention are the portable ones...
IE the press will cover those heavily and the PC market in general will get passing mentions...posting a few videos, screenshots aren't worth an expensive E3 presence...which in some cases a game or it's entire promotion could cost as much as a booth...why do you think indie game companies never make it to the floor unless the big guns sponsor them?
Sides once again I must say...the player base for FFXIV is there...MOST I would bet will come with PS3 version...Final Fantasy at the heart was always a console game...the fan base is there...when the game isn't there yet, it's a hard sell.
How well did PC version of Final Fantasy sell in the past? I rest my case.
As for the oh my god if you ain't at E3...that's a load of bull...
How many games has SE sold successfully with no E3 presence? They don't need it...
If the product is good it'll sell no matter the press.
If I could say anything wrong with Final Fantasy as a whole...over the years it's moved away from the "Fantasy" trying too many new things...when in many instances they could have kept the same formula and been successful. Square Enix innovates with each new game...it's not always appreciated or executed as it could have been...but it allows them to gauge the market direction.
Failure? Hardly...learning lessons yes...the future? GRAND
Gamerescape, 1Up, and one other site I forget which one off the top of my head, all have confirmed they're doing interviews with Yoshi at E3 this week, so even if there's no trailer there will be some news of some kind from at least 3 news outlets.
We got good teasers! http://www.ffandmore.com/?p=2623
Yup and.... Holy shit...... now i can't wait for 2.0.... SE come take all my money!

Now those images/concept art woke me up... lol
Concept art stuff doesn't really have anything important written in there, just says structure type of building, how many chocobo NPC they want to put (estimate) stuff like that in JP.
Keep us posted, I wanna see if the JPs crap themselves like we are
There E3 thread, after someone posted the link to the 2.0 SS it's starting to pick up lol we'll see.

SE cant put it on E3 because the game still sucks, I played CB OB and after release and came back a few days ago. The game is just as bad as it was then except theres some more end game content. But that doesn't matter if you must murder your self to get up there.
Who needs a trailer with those epic concept arts and screenshots. I'm happy so far!
Can't wait for that 2.0 site :D
The battle system is still awful. Auto attacking for an amount of damage that actually doesn't make a difference and trying to encourage casters for example to get up close and hit them with staff.?? AH? Its more of a sluggish search menu, there isn't a proper interface and it feels messy. I just came out after trying some lvl 13 main quest in gridania where I had to ward somethin yet it wouldn't use the wards. The game is just too mesy, its awful. + when you cast a spell you must stop to finish the castin, but if you move the cast bar continues which makes you think the spell will go through? Like wtf?
The only people who will enjoy this game atm is people with extremely low standards.
Auto attack has always been low damage (in FFXI and FFXIV)
Casters are NOT encouraged to hit stuff with a staff, where did you get this idea from?
Yes the UI is sluggish and will be fixed in 2.0, same with the AH its the game engine thats stoping it.
I never had problems with the main quests, you sure you went into the correct area?
The spells trouble is because of the interface lag, this will be fixed in 2.0
We need a "Back in my day" thread somewhere. Do some comparisons of then and now. While I admit the game isn't perfect...how is it just as bad as it was at launch?
Trying to keep up to date on what's going on. Definitely excited.
Releasing a trailer now, would get people hyped now, but by the time 2.0 is around the corner (which wont be for some months) all the "trailer hype" will have worn off. It was the right decision to withhold more information now, and then let loose the floodgates later when its almost time to actually try 2.0.
