Actually kinda curious why whichever of you decided to go pure black on theirs :)

ie: to match playing a 'black' mage, or a 'dark' knight.... or a spin on being a warrior of 'darkness' now? or something else?

The darker one would be my fiancee's. She was originally going to be a Veena and give her Viera the same characteristics as her current character. She felt like her character's current colors were translating onto her Viera very well and she's been fretting over this for a while now. So I joked and said to her, "Why don't you just make her a Rava? Make her darker!" And, well, she's certainly darker now.

I really like the little Rava she made and I pointed out that a lot of things she was complaining about were a lot less noticeable with the darker colors. We asked opinions from other people and did some adjustments and this is the Viera she ended up with. I'm sure she'll probably change her mind about a hundred more times before Shadowbringers comes out, but for now she's happy and I'm happy that she's happy.

So, unfortunately, no deeper meaning other than "this looked good".

Here are a couple more pictures of her Veena and Rava. All of the face options (face, jaw, eyebrows, eye shape, nose, and lip size) are exactly the same. The only difference is the clan and colors.

I rly like the black one, its more unique looking. The light one coloured is pretty too ofc ( I mean, viera is a pretty race, its must be really forced to make them look ugly ). The light colored one might give better options for glams and if your fiance decides to change haircolor its probably easier on the veena one.

I currently can't look but it's one of the lightest skin tones Rava can be. So it's on the upper left side of the skin color options.

Ok y'all.. thought I was decided but now I'm starting to consider grey skin tones. They usually look crappy with anything other than other greyscale hair colors, but is it just me or does this actually look okay????

I've been a Highlander since I first began playing since the beta I think, but I'm ready to make the switch. Hairstyle selection is limited, but I like them all.

I can't wait to be able to actually try these colors out in-game, we all know how different they sometimes look from the character creators. :)

I went for this hairstyles, it's cute and not too extravaganza. I tried to step away from the Fran wannabe look. (nothing wrong with that).

I think those combinations look lovely. I also don't think grey skin should be confined to monotone hair colours. I think blue and purple can look particularly nice with it.

Final adjustments to my Viera who I'll be naming Giacinta since I have a big hunch I won't like the Rava naming conventions :p (if they do end up going with some kind of four letter thing).

At first, I was not convinced. But, after the last trailer and more screenshots, I'm reconsidering to switch. Still, I going to create an alt/retainer first to try voices, emotes and current glamours.

Ugh I keep going back to the CC and making tiny tweaks to my character. This time it's the eye shape and now I can't decide between the cuter eyes or the more mature eyes. Here are the eyes in different lighting conditions incase it makes a difference to opinions. Which one do you like best?

Definitely A for me, but am biased towards cute. B just isn't doing it for me, looks kind of odd or half asleep.

I also keep going back to benchmark. I am like super satisfied with the look I've decided on but I feel like I could do better or more unique or so. Viera are just super pretty and I want them all! Think I won't complain once about seeing too many Viera running around in Limsa.
