I've been taking the grind very casually and am about 40% of the way there. I figure I'll have it done in about three weeks which is fine since I'm not in any kind of rush.

Just finally hit 20/20/20/20 on the unidentifiable junk. . . And now only more inspired to drop this quest and not bother ever again.
No 4.0 relic for me. I was patient enough to give this one a chance, but I remain unimpressed and unmotivated. I won't bother again.
Still step 3 @ about 10 of each tokens.... and now i stopped grinding for relic, it's boring as ***** .
Might finish it over the time without any rush because i already started it, but I'll never start a relic again (like 4.0 etc)
For the most recent Anima step, do I need to fill up both bars before my weapon changes into its new form?
Finally completed my "Rod of the Black Khan". I have to admit it was quite a grind but rewarding when done.

I really like your glamour but its very... White Mage and less Black
IMO
A few days away from finishing 210, here. Next Tuesday it'll be 230, though I've already started collecting mats for the 240 step. It seems pretty nightmarish to me.
Completed phase 4 a few days ago and I am now progressing through phase 5.
It can be if you don't take breaks during the days grinding for the mats.
Just be glad we still have 2 months before phase 6 arrives in 3.4 which by then people who only started phase 5 now should be complete or atleast near completion of the 240 points allowing them to jump right into phase 6 atleast a few days or a week after 3.4 release.
some people already completed phase 5 already within this 1st month of 3.3 but that is only because they hardcore grinded the mats going a bit crazy by grinding blue scripts on day 1 to get all 80 sand and then spend the rest of the grind focus only eso tomes after day 1.
I should be done on saturday with the 240, but the grind on tomes is just getting too old, we probably grind about 100k tomes since relic release, im really hoping next step is something challenging like a boss fight or sonething an not another grind mind numb, idk how much more I can take xD.
congrats to those who are in top of the weapon.
I'm at 205/240. Got lucky and got 5 Amberkins with only 18 leves.
I started the latest step... this weekend, I think? So far I have about 30 points into crit on my SMN book. I'd be farther if farming the Vilekin and dungeon gear for moonstones wasn't so boooooring. So, I should be done close to never.
I actually wish that Anima/Relic/??? phase would just be a simple long solo quest involving solo instances unique to the Anima Quest. Use it as a opportunity to test if the play knows how to play their roles without the help of other players and open up room to provide more story about the Anima and its progress into becoming a complete existance as we know currently the Anima has yet to achieve its true form due to being not complete yet.
If you have a stack of leve unused then use those to farm Leve Ambers. Those are easy 1 sand per 1 amber and you can burn through a stack of 99 leves within a few hours for easy 15 or more ambers.
Crafting helps a lot as well to get Sand as it only cost 450 blue scrip per 1 sand but only take this on if you know your purse can support the cost of crafting for those 450 blue scrip.
If by amber you mean amber-encased Vilekin then that's what I've been up to. It's more of me dozing off while searching for the chests sort of thing, which I'll admit is pretty weak. I've got about 80 more leves to go through. :p
As for crafting, I'm actually working on bringing the levels of my CUL and other crafting classes up. Kinda wish I focused on them way earlier.
Thanks for the tips!

Getting close to the halfway point for my Relic. Reason why it's taking this long as because I was focusing on getting all of my classes to level 60 first before I started to focus on my main and I got my last class to 60 this Wednesday. Now I'm able to get more Eso Tomes from the Roulette with all my Level 60 classes and don't need to worry using Roulette to level up my classes anymore so I'm speeding through my Eso Tomes. If I keep this up I might be done next week which would be great to have the current perfect weapon for my NIN.
200/240
This will probably be the first and last relic weapon I do.
Sitting at 205/240. I could probably finish tomorrow if I REALLY get dedicated but I think I'd want to quit for a week or so once I finish if I did that. I give props to those of you planning to work on more than 1 of these things, I sure don't have that kind of dedication.
I think I'm the odd one out where I don't really care about the Lore weapon and I'm quite happy to work towards my relic, even if an easy step comes out to make the lore wep 230 it won't really change a thing for me.

Done for now... 3.4 is a while away, thank goodness.
I'm on 160/240, this is kinda an easy step to be honest. The only thing I hate is, I could be spending eso on alt jobs rather than for Umbrite >.>
The Break Phases are more of a welcome than a slap on the face for some. Only people who would take it as a insult would be people who expects it to last longer than Lore weapons as the Lore Weapons are always made to be easy access weapon but lack the ability to have custom stats due to being the generic easy access weapons.
After the long grind these break phases are more for taking a rest from that long grinding and for players who don't grinding for Relic/Anima to have a watch ready for the next update.
SE seems to have set up each "Glowing" phase to be break grinding phases for relic/anima/??? so players can rest and recover from the mindless grind phases being the phases where we get the weapon's body then set Glowing phases to be much easier so players can catch up to a higher weapon level above the Lore/Tome Weapons.
120/240
Halfway point now... oh I cannot wait until I'm done with it.
No pics but my DRK weapon is now mine. Ultimately don't think a tedious grind is worth a measly stat increase of Str/Vit/Crit/Det of +5/+7/+6/+6 from the Hyperconductive.
Should plop something dumb like 2% MP regen or lifesteal or some shit. Otherwise it's a waste of time.
Looks cool I guess. But if I wanted a glamour weapon I'd go for that dere Dainslaif.
Started a third relic by grinding crystals out of boredom... >.> (and I still have a Zeta to trade in but ummm idk)
So:
WHM i170 no dungeons done yet - 9 ore and 2 shells from maps in retainer plus a lot primal token I may be using
WAR i230 9/240 for next step
SCH i240 finished

+120 Crit
+115 Det
+5 SkSp
Finally got my DRK then dyed it Metallic Sky Blue. Loving it but now I am bored and have zero interest in another relic at this time.

The deed is done. For now.
Finished my 240 today. Looking forward to not doing all the roulettes everyday now.
