PF is the way it is, if you don't like it then get a static or don't raid that week. You aren't entitled to try to control other players in an MMO, if you want that level of control get a static or learn to accept PF the way it is now. Get that idea out of your head, just like DPS meters and requiring addons to play high end content. It will never be that way from the mouth of the director of the game. Absolutely not, never ever. If you're unhappy about this I'd invite you to pick up any other MMO that's more tolerant of your behavior.

Or maybe they could add more filters to PF like I recommended to setup a group with the playstyle you want to play with. You can already filter out by duty completion and lock jobs. What is one more filter that someone has to complete a 3 minute test in game to enter a group who requires it?

Just as much as I am not entitled to control other players, other players are not entitled to waste other players time by signing up for things expecting a carry.

I'm just letting you know why this is never going to happen, you can ask all you want but the developers have given a strong "No" to this type of content ever being in the game whenever they have been asked, and believe me, they have been asked this question a lot. There will never be a DPS meter in-game and there will never be any way to filter or require certain DPS checks in PF to join. Those only create toxicity. If you want that level of control then play with friends or make a static.

Ironically it's the game design itself thay creates the toxicity. If fights did not have hard enrages then people would care less about DPS. It's hard to say not filter by not making a DPS check when the content itself is designed around a DPS check.

I've played MMOs that did not have hard enrages, and the focus on DPS was much less than it is here, a game where DPS determines if you can clear the content.

Basically if Yoshi-p thinks measuring DPS creates toxicity, then they should take a long look in the mirror at their encounter design.

I’ve played MMOs since EQ in 2001 and NEVER has it been needed. Only reason is for those who min/max or for raids to be the first on a server.

If the mob dies before the enrage, you won. You did the DPS needed.

So this essentially comes down to "we won't do it because people will harass others".
let me tell you a story. Long ago, I was playing WoW. I was an elemental Tauren shaman. I had fun, and every time I went into the harder dungeons we cleared. Not mythic, not even raid, just endgame dungeons. We cleared and we had a good time.
Now, I ended up in a group who were doing consequtive runs. My only stake in the affair was coz I enjoyed it. Yet I got booted for the simple reason of not having high enough dps. So yes, there is weight to what Yoship says. Nobody knows if you use ACT, but if you go after somebody who does sufficient but not top dps and harass that somebody then you are doing something wrong and deserve the consequences. Use it for personal improvement and worry about yourself, not others, and you will be fine.

There already is. "Barse" parties are essentially the community own way of filtering by DPS because a lot of those groups will either require strats specifically designed for better uptime than the usual PF or outright kick players joining whose numbers are low. And before "Barse Party" became popular, parsing groups simply listed mechanical skips that demanded incredibly high DPS to accomplish such as "Skip 2nd Merry-go-round" or "Skip Voidgate 2." The equivalent for this tier would be "Skipping Life's Agony" or "Killing at second Pinax"

I see no real issue with these parties either. You aren't entitled to join any party simply because you want a clear. The person who made the PF should be able to dictate the expectations. It's their party after all.
