Where are the reps at? I WANT A RESPONSE NOW. I NEED TO KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT RIGHT
2.Difference Between Player and Enemy Levels
Higher level enemies will yield more EXP, while lower level enemies will yield less. This revision will not greatly affect the amount of EXP obtainable. However, a cap will be imposed upon the bonus awarded to players for defeating higher level enemies'
If this cap is indeed not working then yes it is broken
Come on, there needs to be a rep on this subject. Please don't tell me that you think it's okay for something as broken as this to be left in the game. This WILL break the game's economy and render a lot of content worthless.
I like how people automatically assume those of us against such insane power leveling have some superiority complex over those who are not 50 yet.
For me at least it couldn't be farther from the truth I have one rank 50 and would benifit greatly from such a stupidly broken leveling system but I refuse to use it as such because it cheapens the whole game. I mean why not just start us off at rank 30 if the devs don't want us to even consider being rank 1 for any considerable ammount of time.
I guess someones gonna come in and whine that leveling is nothing but a "Timesink" and it's going to roll downhill from the sheer stupidity of that comment.
I remember the people who were clearly powerleveled to 75 in XI, boy were they useful in endgame parties. Oh wait, did I say useful? I meant the exact opposite, they were like a quadriplegic in a triathlon.
Endgame content works because there is party cohesion, communication, and every single member knows their roles and limitations. The DDs know to hold back when hate gets sketchy, the tank knows how to keep the mobs eyes centered onto them, and the mages know proper MP conservation. PLing takes all these principles, and shits on them. After all, why does the tank need to keep hate when the high level can shrug off anything the mob does? Why do the DDs need to hold back if the high level just stomps on the enemy to the point where nothing will make it move off of him? Why do the mages need to worry about anything at all, when the high level is in no threat of dying?
And then of course what happens is they get to a point where they can no longer be feasibly power leveled, and they're utterly incompetent at their job, much to the chagrin of those of us who like to actually work towards a goal, and we find ourselves in a party with them.
I am by no means opposed to all types of PLing, I've been in several Valkurm Dunes parties in the past that only remained afloat because of the high level healer supporting us, but we still needed to kill the mob on our own. Like it is now, not only can the R50 do all the work for the mouthbreathers, they also get 100% rewards for spectating, and maybe successfully poking the monster a couple times. Way to give it the old college try, champ. Instant Gratification XIV will not only piss off those of us who like to put forth effort in leveling, but will also ultimately piss off the ones who cruise control to multiple 50s, only to find there is nothing else really to do for the time being, and stop playing.
I have to give Yoshi and his team the benefit of the doubt and say there is some coding error here, because the fledgling hope I have for this game will not be able to withstand if he seriously thinks leaving things like this is a smart decision.
I don't see a problem here.
So a friend can powerlevel you. So you can powerlevel a friend. Great stuff!
All games allow powerlevelling in one way or another. You won't get powerlevelled beyond 40 with this system and 40-50 is about ~50% of total exp? So still some work to do there. Doesn't sound like the end of the world at all, more like the end of boring times grinding for way too many hours and fastforward to actual content. I hope SE keep this system as is.
You can only be powerleveled by the willing.
It's a privilege of being high level.
