Nothing on Lindblum yet, why am I surprised that this would be the case >.>

So I take it nothing happened...?

I'm not rubbing it in - I'm honestly concerned.

Nothing here. I guess; we are waiting for some form of Ninja Update?~ It did say it happens in the 7th Era; not the beginning of the 7th. Flood in 6th, End of World in 7th. They could justify this by having the 7th Era encompass 1.18. Assuming all this is linked to Grand Company Dungeons.

Well, to be fair...no one from SE ever said something special was going to happen in the end of Hatching Tide. I do hope no one gets 'mad' because of this, since the players just assumed the Black Shroud would explode today or something.

Something may happen sometime soon, but most likely not at this very moment, or day, or week. 1.17b may be the trigger for this event, whether it be a visible patch or a ninja update.

Haha! I wish had recording on. As the hour rolled over, Motte, Fhlae, and all the eggs just blinked out of existence. That was awesome.

If 12 archons hatch out of a giant egg i will laugh my ass off and never take this game seriously again.

You see, the spriggans were actually trying to SAVE us, by taking the raptor eggs away and hiding them in caves.. but those stubborn adventurers kept bringing them back. Oh well. D: Too late now! We're doomed! Game over man! Game over!!!

For me it's not illogical to speculate about something happening by the end of Hatching-tide - Hard-boiled High Jinks since we get an unconcluded event. There's a story already started but unfinished.
I know event-related NPCs have just disappeared, but I'm still thinking that it makes no sense just leaving things this way for more than a single day...

I'm sure we'll get a "report" from the raven questioning the validity of Jihli Aliapoh and her followers considering their sudden and mysterious disappearance.

Someone must have kidnapped them for sure! It must be the garlic Empire!
They stole the large egg because there must be some NM inside and they don't want to share the loot!
This all can not be just a simple seasonal event that will be repeated every year! No way! This all must have a deeper meaning! This must be connected to the main story for sure!

The Garlic Empire sounds awesome, and relevant, since SE loves Onions.

I was very careful in the OP to avoid building expectation that something would happen. As I mentioned the Hatching Hour referred to in the lore at the end of the festival. That could possibly refer to the already announced mid-June update.

It's certainly interesting that we are told dungeons are in the next patch shortly after lore has been added to the game suggesting an imminent summoning, the Archons.

Also, I wonder if the reason 1.17b was only referred to as a possibility in the 'Letter From The Producer' was because it is the mini update to finish off the event and naturally would not want to reveal its purpose.

All in all, I have enjoyed this event significantly more than the previous ones and hope that Yoshi-P and the team continues to develop the seasonal events to this standard. It opened up the lore of the world, provided a rather lucrative market for people willing to make the effort and for once there were threads on this forum that talked positively about the game now rather than the game in the future. Surely that has to be better than bells?

Why getting disappointed by something that was not said, nor planned or expected?
7th umbral thing is not today anyway. Today is the end of the Hatching-tide event.

The event did sound like something was supposed to happen at the end. Whether it was something big or just exaggerated/imagined by Jihli. It would be a bit odd for nothing to happen, but I'd just shrug it off 'cause Jihli seems crazy to me anyways.

The Last Word – Storm over Gridania
The heavens seem hell-bent on inundating Gridania of late. While the Twelveswood is no stranger to willful weather, something is afoot that sits ill with this reporter. Driven by an inner disquiet, I set out on a mission to give shape and form to intangible trepidation.

Ere long, I pick up the trail of irregularity, catching curious whispers on the wind that deaspected crystals have been circulating. Yes, you read true: these crystalline manifestations of aetheric energy are turning up utterly divested of aspect. Even a wee tot could tell you that such a thing is an affront to the very laws of nature.

Perchance this development does not suffice to chill spines, the frightful rumors being propagated by a camp-bound transient could well prompt folk to run for the hills. This shady figure is said to manifest with nary a warning, preach feverishly of impending doom, and then vanish like a phantom only to reappear elsewhere. Though the ramblings of this seemingly touched soul are largely lost to gibberish, such is the zeal with which they are delivered, more than a few citizens are like to be taken by fear.

Far be it from this reporter's intent to incite panic, but if history has taught man aught, it is that we dismiss portentous signs at our peril. Are these incidents merely isolated occurrences? Or are they a dire warning of disaster? This I leave to you, our informed readers, to ponder.

Something will happen Everything besides the "Doom part" has already has come into Fruition, with Deaspected Crystals, Shady Figures ( Ulgarith whatever you spell his name) Shouting out impending doom then Disappearing only to come back elsewhere ( Which he has). Willful Weather ( Rain Mostly) but theres always some kind of Weather effect that isnt sunny out 90% of the time. And also to add of NPC's Saying crazy End is nigh lines all over Eorzea. If you think nothing will happen... like some of you say, well Just look at the connections even this line from the Grand Compaines Page says this:

Command Centers which combine the Military, economic and Technological Resources of a City-state in order to better Prepare it for the Coming Doom.

Coming Doom? I been here that alot lately.. Doom this and Doom that... Lets face Reality... Something is going to happen "in Epic Proportions"

It's very hard to speculate about what will happen. If anyone offers a word of speculation the fishbait's pop on and shout "Don't speculate". I personally love hearing all of my fellow players thoughts on the events occuring. I don't know why other players feel threatened about speculation. I mean is speculation on a forum really that threatening? I don't know. I guess it scares the hell outta some people.

Still, this event was more fun the the bell events, so, not a bad thing at all.

But we really do need more retainer or a lot more space per retainer.
All the egg hats and then all the other gear we got from the other events... then 20 new NM with over 20 new unique items... i don/t like throwing things away, i play RPG partly because i enjoy collecting the items!

I'm not sure why you quoted me, as we're talking about two different events. I was talking about the egg event Hatching-tide. Jihli and her archons. You're talking about "Storm over Gridania."
I'm not yet convinced these two events are even related.

Just felt like Quoting someone :P, in any rate, The Hacthing- Tide Event is connected with the Archons ( Which are these Shady Figures Correct?) And these Shady Figures Are Related to the "Storm Over Gridania" Writing Because they all Mention it in same way or fashion, thats why I believe its related, and also another reason why I posted in here, is because some people seem to think nothing is going to happen that 1.17b or 1.18 is just going to be another Lackluster patch and all that jazz. Theres nothing wrong with getting excited about something that may or may not come, but with all these Clues and connections, what makes you believe "nothing" is going to happen, Espeically when SE is on Thin ice right now and they need to rebound in a worst way. They are a company trying to keep and make subscribers= money, Im sure they wont mess up a second time

As for the deaspected crystals - there has been an Archanist wandering the land preaching doom. Its a totally baseless theory but what if the archanist's weapon uses elemental crystals to launch its attacks, similar to the way an archer loads arrows. The deaspected crystals could simply empty shells.

This community spends so much time looking for the negative in the game, that even when the developer's give us a mystery to discuss everyone would rather lurk a /rage thread.

Come on use your imagination, we have no idea how the future of Eorzea is going to play out. Let's make some crazy theories for the story using the tid-bits and clues we have got.

My thoughts are regarding the number of eggs in each city. (The ones floating in air). I see each one has four eggs, which leads me to believe that there are 4 acheons per city that would hatch, but that's just my guess.

I think it will be something small at first, but grow to have a bigger impact that we can tell right now... I would love for something to happen tonight... However I think we won't see anything "until the six sun sets, and the seventh moon rises" which leads me to think July 1st.

The egg event has to do with 12 archons which sound to be something like the 12 gods/guardians, and the shady figures appearing in the "Storm Over Gridania" event are arcanists, a class that SE hasn't added to the game. The words are similar in spelling, but aren't the same thing.

All we know right now is that the egg event and the Storm Over Gridania may be related. But we've been given no proof that they are. They don't seem to be linked as of right now. If SE puts up some lore saying that Jihli's archons are the ones making it rain all the time and such, then we will have a connection.
