Seein' it on Hyperion too -_-
Seein' it on Hyperion too -_-
This thread has my support. The more support it get's the quick it gets to the attention of Square.
so can i name my retainer ez pay put it up, and get 1mil in an instant?
Honestly if they actually did ban legit players in the last wave(where some got banned for having too much gil) then they really need to work something out. I can guarantee anyone who is buying or selling those tin-gold pieces on the ah for such absurd prices is doing nothing other than buying/selling gil, no legit player can really be that stupid to buy one of these at such price.
If what it takes is looking at the log of every server and seeing who is buying and selling these items and flat out banning every single one of them(unless the items are actually going for vendor value...why people do this who knows) then it needs to be done. There has to be a way for square to see which retainers belong to who and just forego the process of looking to see what they've done, just flat out ban these people. If people start doing the same exact thing to random mats then do the same thing to them, do not give these people the chance to continue.
Well that would just make too much sense now wouldn't it? Obviously there has to be intricate ways of going around telling whether or not this really is a gil seller, why ban his account now when it can be done a week or 2 from now when they're 100% sure and he's already done more dmg than any dmg control can ever undo.
It's the same thing they've done in other games.
You contact them to buy gold and send online payment. The seller tells you to set up a store with X amount of pieces of trash and the price to put up for each piece. Seller goes into your store slowly buying each piece one by one, which transfers the gold from them to you, like you purchased.
In other games, there was no record of who bought what on public display, or even any record at all. So it would be very simple for SE to spot the gil sellers and buyers in this case and ban them. Other players will also be able to see just who is buying gil on their server. <-- Quite funny.
now we know where all those people who power fate level to 50 and complain they have not enough gil to make repairs and refuse to do tradecrafts ew please sqaure enix give us more gil in game so we don't have to craft, yeah right....
Well then allot of people on my server are Buying gold, because their is a huge amount of people trying to sell allagan pieces right now.
Now Answer me this, since when did gold sellers start selling in such small amounts? i have seen the "Ez pay" guy buying the pieces in all numbers prices and quantities, and i don't think they will sell someone 3500 gill...
Posting it on here won't help much, did you submit a Ticket to report this Gil Seller and Buyer? You should do that and hopefully both the Gil Seller and Buyer would be banned. So sickening to see people buying Gil in this game, you're supporting them and making their business grow, I hope they are not getting away with this.
Sadest bump ever since this is still a thing and it infuriates me..
This reminds me of those people who bought that $10,000 app where all it did was display a gold diamond or something to show how wealthy they are.
I've also been noticing gibberish named characters buying very expensive minions (Hunting Hawk, Dwarf Bunny, etc..) which I believe is another way they do their gil transactions.
Don't really know why it's so hard for SE to track and ban these people :/
Wow, so there are gold sellers in this game too?
Never seen one or gotten a /tell from one on Carbuncle server.
I throw gold pieces up for stupid prices for the people who were looking to transfer and take 5+ mil but I didn't know there was a gil seller link in overpriced items.
Well, since this was necroed...
People transfering servers have a legitimate reason to want to purchase allegan currency if the market they're going to doesn't have much else they could use to transfer currency over, since you can only transfer so much actual gil at a time.
Banned characters don't get deleted by SE, so they won't show up as deleted in the blacklist.
I don't think RMT is necessarily buying random stuff for high amount of prices. I think this is probably more to easily trade gil between their accounts faster as you can only exchange 1mil at a time.
It's most likely:
A customer purchases gil on a website. EZ pay asks you to list Allagan pieces or another item. You tell them your retainer name, and then he buys your items instead of sending by mail or trade. Since this is a complete exchange over the MB; it would be harder to track the source of the gil and the paying customer wouldn't get flagged as a gil buyer since the purchase was made through the market.
name your retainer Ez Pay' and see if they buy your pieces for that amount :D
SE don't care, they are not going to start banning people who buy gil because they would lose their monthly subscription. With regards to gil sellers they don't see them as spoiling the game in any way unless they are bots running dungeons. Se's philosophy is if someone buys gil so they can improve their gameplay let them buy it, better that than someone quitting the game because they can't progress any further. It's annoying, it's cheating and it should be stopped but hey, SE are on a win win situation here.
Those items are not always bought by RMT. On my server, some ppl buy them before changing server. Since you can't keep more than 1.5m or something (don't remember the exact amount) they try to convert as many gils as possible in demi-materia and allagan coins. So when they are in their new server they can just sell them to NPC and get a % of their gils back (lower than original amount but still higher than 1.5m).
Is RMT buying and selling Allagan pieces still a problem on other servers like it was 3 years ago? On Balmung this isn't an issue.
Just checked the MB myself, didn't see anything odd. However for all I know they could also be doing the thing with Elemental shards or other "junk" items.
Mother of necro xD. Still i recommend no one do as the OP and post names in the forums even if they are rmt you can get ban.
You clearly have no concept of reality. If you seriously think any business would throw away nearly £50,000 a month of subscriptions maybe you should try to reconnect with the real world.
I'm not going to argue with you. You're free to believe what you want. I, however, have faith that SE cares more about the hundreds of thousands of subscribers that very vocally despise RMT than a couple hundred subscribers that constitute the RMT population.
Anyway, happy gaming.
I am just as a vocal about RMT as the next person if not more. Why do you think GM's don't even have the power to remove obvious Gil sellers, the ones who are at market places sometimes for days on end. If SE were serious about this type of thing don't you think their security team (which by all accounts consists of about 5 people) would just take a look at the market places every now and then and remove the offending avatars. It's not rocket science. Maybe you should do a bit more research before you start replying with your arrogant "take off your tinfoil hat" comments.
The thing I am most baffled about when it comes to RMT in this game is who are they selling to? Like money is worthless in this game for the most part, why would you spend real money for worthless in game currency? FFXI I understand even if it is wrong to do it, but here? Lol.
probably some of them, yeah. but i think people who buy kills will also buy gil. it's both the same: pay to win instead of playing the game. i will not say ALL people who buy kills also buy gil, but i think the majority of them, of course, there are not many people who have enough legit earend gil who can afford to buy kills. so we have a few super rich crafter and people who buy gil...
and the people who sell kills know exactly where the gil is comming from...
SE can claim whatever they want (in case RMT bans). However, until they prove it, means jack to me, especially when I can still see the same gatherer bot more than 2 years later in the same spot with the same POS starter gear at level 50.
