What's the most hilarious ingame joke you've encountered?

Too many to list, and I've taken shots of almost none of them. This made me snicker a little, though.

there's a ton of references in the game....but I remember bursting in laughts back in the day with the guy at archers guild telling ""I felt a great disturbance in the forest... as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror."

A few quests I can think of at the top of my head that made me laugh:

"Breaking Bud"
"All Dogs Go To Hell"
and a goldsmith leve, "Forever 21K"

I don't have a screenshot of it, but there is an NPC where the ship is being built. He says something about rivets needing to be hot, and by the time he can get them back to the ship they are colder than a dead whore's crotch.

I damn near wet myself at this little lalafell. Who knew /psych was so damn effective!

I like the whole biggs and wedge thing. Can't get enough of those star wars references!

Not a joke, but I like the fate "The truth is out there" where you fight a chupacabra.

It's a bit dirty, but I chucked when I found it last night.

In coerthas, at the dragon base (I forget the name), if you climb up to the walls and into one of the watch towers, you find a male and female Elezen. When you enter the Female says "We should stop this, think about your wife".

It's not just a Star Wars reference, it's Final Fantasy lore. Biggs and Wedge first showed up in Final Fantasy VI (They were the Imperial soldiers escorting the brainwashed Terra in the very beginning) and have been in VII, VIII, X, XII (sorta; they were called Gibbs and Deweg--pressure from Lucasfilm, maybe?), and XIII (who do you think the "B&W" in "B&W Outfitters" are?).

I'm pretty sure that was in Dragonhead. In the bunkroom of the central tower of Whitebrim Front there's a female knight in her bunk who offers to share it with you.

It's probably just me, but I found a line of dialogue in the main quest funny.
Its the part where you have to chase down and fight the Wood Wailer who has been conspiring with the Garleans. I play as a female Miqo'te and the traitor referred to me as "the Miqo'te b*tch." It made me chuckle because Miqo'te are feline, not canine.

Its stupid dry humor that gets me the most.

I encountered an elitist who was told to get off his high chocobo

During a main story cutscene, Raubahn yells out "mad snake?! mad snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!!?!"

Had me dyin! Total MGS reference.

If you go stand next to the Fisher guildleader (not the one who gives the quests, but the one out on the piers) you'll see a very similar dialogue.

I wish I had a screen shot of it but it happened so fast, I think it was a NPC running away from a fate in the shroud yelling "say my name! say my name!" and his "name" was Nameless Conjurer. Made me chuckle.

My friend told me he joined a 7 man relic party for garuda hard mode. Party gets wipe and he asked the question " Let's be honest... how many of us bought a titan clear". Then he gets immediately booted from the party.

there's a wench inside sashtasha that exclaims "I'm not with them! I swear on what little is left of my virtue!"

For me it's two NPCs in an early low-level quest in Ul'dah; Bitter Snow and Yellow Moon who will be wed some day, which would make her end up with the name... Yellow Snow. Don't know if this was intended, but when I caught it, it cracked me up.

Actually, it's more an example of dark humour, given the fact Camp Drybone and it's inn are right next to a graveyard, a place of literal 'eternal sleep' (and for that matter, one of the guests in the inn is actually lying dead on his bed with his wife grief striken and a priest administering last rites.

the 1.0 lalafell child at aleport that ran away from home because their father was an abusive alcoholic was pretty good.
