Why are people calling the Magitek a mecha-chocobo? What the hell is wrong with you? Did you not play FFVI?

I'd honestly like to see a chocobo breeding system in place, similarly to FFVII/XI. The different color chocobos would really be the only difference, I guess they can have some battle stats? I remember this being talked about a while back by the dev team.

Chocobo breeding is coming with housing I believe. Not sure if it will work the way it did in VII but I can't wait to try it out.

If we're sticking to lore, chocobos come in a lot of colors besides yellow.

If they add another mech style mount it should be the hover bike from Final Fantasy XII that sits two people.

Well one mount they shouldn't have added is the Unicorn, it just looks stupid and doesn't even look right in this game...

Lazy? It's just stupid having to mount/unmount the whole time when questin' or FATE grindin', or just doing anything. And no, SE has clear their priorities and ofc this aint one, neither addin' users suggestions of new mounts, or reading our posts.

Well, you can't say it's not in the series lore.

I'd rather have access to a chocobo ranch where we can breed chocobos of different colors and stats, where we can house them (so we can have multiple with different specs), and breed racers for the golden saucer.


As for non-Chocobo mounts, a snowy goobbue, and that's probably it.


I'd also like to auto dismount when entering a city/residence, or when clicking an npc. Having to click an extra button doesn't add depth to gameplay, it's just cumbersome.

I don't understand the unicorn hate, I trained conjurer to 30 on three characters just so they could have them.

I believe Chocobo Raising is going to be implemented at some point, last I heard. I'm excited for something like that too.

Otherwise, not a fan of the unicorn mount. Too....I don't know...out of place.
The other mounts I really like though, especially the Coeurl.

FF classic or not, i hate chocobos. I intend on opening the first branch of Kentucky Fried Chocobo in Eorzea.

I can't really think of a mount I want because what I really wanted was the Couerl mount...Oh LOOK! CE got that for me. I'm happy now lol. Of course I intend to collect every mount and minion this game can throw at me....so bring it on!

Nobody tell this guy that there's a unicorn on the Ishgardian flag and has been there since 1.0.

The Unicorn looks pretty bad though, specifically the hair. It just feels so stiff and clunky, compared to the other mounts.

I don't understand the appeal of multiple mounts. They all move the same speed its just a outside visual change. Whats the point of it all?

Agreed. I like the idea of breeding and raising a specific color-type of chocobo. Developing that would be a fun and rewarding little side game.

Not quite certain the criteria you are using to say that but as I see it, if all the other borrowed mythical beasties can be in Final Fantasy then why not Unicorn. Also Unicorn has been in the game series for quite the while now. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Unicorn_(Summon)

My personal issues with this unicorn are all in its execution. I think it is a bad design. with how detailed the other mounts are I find the unicorn stands out badly.

I do agree. I think the word we're looking for in regards to the unicorn is that it's bland when in comparison to all the other options.

I'm in favor of having all sorts of hats for our chocobos. Like a party hat, pirate hat (with an eye patch, but that may make it difficult for him to see where he's going, but that's besides the point), straw hat (already in the game!), etc.

Because people will stack on npc with their mounts rendering them not only difficult to select but also deteriorate the rpg part of the mmorpg experience for those who like to watch npc animations in first person when interacting with them.

Also with the mount running away after dismount, we have in houses, all this mounts going through the walls which is a poor design. That's why I'm in favor for an incentive to leave mounts at stables or a bit far from humans for the Coeurl, like a bonus speed of 10% for example.

Roe mount, exclusive to Lalafells

i personally use the Coeurl and Unicorn the most
But I do agree that the Unicorn is borderline and a bit out of the blue
But with white clothes it looks really cool I think
So don't take it away from me ^^

For the next mount I would like to see, maybe a kind of small adamantoise could be cool and sit like on the Gobbue
I personally don't like mech-style mounts so I hope none of those
unless it is a Al-bhed type (maybe like Rikku's sphere, a mount that change your clothe while wearing them)

I'd like to see all sorts of barding options for our Chocobos and tie them into the Armoury System so when you choose a gear set then the attached barding set will be displayed as well.

Class mounts would be sick.
Arcanist can get a flying/hovering book or Valefor from FFX

Ok, I'm convinced on the city clean part, I mean, I understand your point, ñé, but NPCs are anyways flooded with crafters and thats also annoying to click on them sometimes.

Id love some more Magitek style mounts or just more vehicles like bikes and cars. Theyre already considering flying mounts too so I expect airships sometimes. Engineer mounts were always my favorite... had almost all of them.

A new DoH engineering class to go along with it would be fan-freakin-tastic! Expansion? ... do it!

Also Clouds Advent Children motorcycle ... NOW!
