HM Ifrit "Bad Luck" Support Group/Therapy Session

Is this how this thread works?

Anyway, got my drop on 7th or so run. First 4 drops were sword, sword, bow, sword.

After my 40th ruun withh no luck, I started to search online about the information of weapon drop rate. All I can see is a bunch of PLD complaining they can't get their weapon after 30 or even 50 run. I'm one of them. I asked a few high ranking FC in my server and also had some little talk with PLD I met in the duty finder. 90% of them had the same issue. On the other hand, SCH, THM, WHM even a lot BARD or MONK they all get their weapon before they hit 30 runs. RANDOM is RANDOM when you roll the dice once and get a SIX, but if you roll the dice 50 times and get 40 SIX out of it, then the dice must be fishy.

So many scholar books! At least I have something to read while waiting on the cane to drop ♥

On the same boat, bro. I've been running both Garuda and Ifrit and I can't get my Primal weapon yet. I'm updating all my gear except the weapon. It's so frustrating...

It's not completely random, it's pretty obvious (not that anything computer generated is completely random). If there is 1/9 of a specific weapon dropping, having to run the primal 40 times without even seeing the weapon is very unlikely to happen, yet people are having a hard time getting their weapons. Whoever says it's still fully random probably got an F from math.

3 Books, 3 Pugs and a Book. Which i got as a Tank lol

I've seen all the weapons drop and I got my book on my 9th or 10th run so yes, they are all there.

Did Ifirit over and over and over, no book drop had got some really hard groups to heal through, but there was never a call we cleared every time after the 2nd wipe at most, so I thought "**** it" and went and did Garuda for the first time, we wiped 3 times, people where saying in chat that "this was there last try with this group" anyway we cleared and she dropped my healers book never been so happy for a long time ^_^

I have started sacrificing party members to the Lord of the Inferno, but it does not seem to work.. Any suggestions to make the stupid sword drop already?

I was in a group, we doing well till around the last quarter where I think several of us lags and half the party was downed. I was the Last Healer Standing, so as the outer edge plumes hit I jump to the center and Limit Break us back to working status only to finish my animation plumed in an inferno of no escape! I got killed for saving the party! Ah the life of a healer. Oh we kicked his fiery rear to kingdom come so it wasn't all bad. I almost feel like I got trolled there, lol.

Ok, I was beginning to think maybe there was no drg weapon on this fight......haven't counted how many times I've done it, but it's A LOT. About 6 of us from my LS have been doing this over and over again, and everyone has seen their weapon (yes, even the pld) except us 2 drgs......I'm frustrated to the point where I've stopped trying and have been crafting/gathering the past 3 days.......Good to know that at least it does exist, even if the drop rate is like 1%. Arg

I've done about 20 runs to get my WHM staff, during which I've seen tons of books (so many that I ended up getting one ..) and quite a few bows as well as THM wand, and monks fists.. Sword I saw twice (I paid attention to that one specifically considering my secondary job is PLD :))

My day isn't complete without both of these happening to me at least once. I've even had the full streak at 95%. And then gotta love those NQs (usually when you need HQ for something like a class quest) when you have ~97% rate, too. I had the latter happen 6 times in a row once. The rant I went on in /l and /fc was inappropriate to say the least.

I think PLD sword is the most common for me. Still yet to see the SCH book. OP, we should swap characters.

Complete opposite for me! I've been running with my WAR FC friend the last two nights. I would say we've safely done 25 runs. Out of those 25 runs. We've seen 2 PLD, and about no joke about 10+ SCH and SMN books. We have yet to see his Axe. :(
