I would like ask you an honest question too. Do remember the polls Yoshida held, where he asked us an important question. "Would you be ok with it if we were to make drastic changes to the game?" The majority of the player base replied with "yes".

In my opinion, this would be one of those "drastic" changes.

You mentioned that the option should be available to keep the 1.0 players and players with legacy status. Lets be honest, that would be a bit selfish, doesn't it? The option should then be given to everyone or no one at all.

Honestly, being a 1.0 player myself... I don't care about the changes they made. They did what they did and for better or for worse, it's not going to be changed anytime soon. Best to just suck it up and move on. Mayhaps complain about a valid topic, like why miqo'te have tail cuts in only a small number of apparel where there shouldn't be tail cuts at all (I know, the tail clips through those garments without tail cuts, but it just seems like those that do have them give the miqo'te an odd sense of vulnerability).

Unfortunately no I didn't join in on those forums back then or know about it really, and I never expected that any drastic changes would involve physical alterations on our characters appearance as far as there body structure and shape.

I learned a great deal about these changes when I made my forum, a great deal indeed.

Others have lost shape also but not so much that there body has been completely re designed. The Miquo'te female appears from my research to now resemble a closer appearance relating to a feline in forms of it's body shape. Previously it had a much more strait back with a human woman's body shape. I believe they decided on this alteration because of the way the male Miquo'te has been structured to resemble this same crook/curved back and over extended shoulder blades, with very small lower proportions.

I feel like these smaller lower proportions and curvature of the back suit the male character but seeing my female changed to share this appearance is shocking to me.

And yes I do agree this seems like a very drastic change.

And in response to you concerning what you quoted me on.

I was saying an option for 1.0 players and legacy players alike, for them but not exclusively for them, just for the sake of them. It's the only race that has had such an extensive alteration to the characters over all form, wait, shape, structure and appearance.

It only appears the same as the 1.0 model from the front.

The entire time I requested they bring back the old Miquo'te body was for everyone as a second body choice. I am a huge fan of the original Human body shaped Miquo'te, this one doesn't appeal to me as much and at times makes me long for my old character back.

But of course thats impossible now because 1.0 no longer exists, my characters body could closer resemble my last character tho if the option was added.

So, if I understood correctly, The Miq'otes from 1.0 had more Hyur like proportions and you would like to see it returned. Well, I think that it would be very much possible if SE were to introduce "mixed races". Something like a half Miq'ote, half Hyur (a Miy'ur if you will).

this was one of the items in the polls I mentioned.

Oh no, it was at the beginning of 2011. When I look at the month you've created your forum account, I can imagine that you've not seen those polls. Sorry about that.

The results are mentioned in the Letter if the Producer 1 (from Jan 2011) and 5 (from March 2011). You can find them in the news archive on Lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com (the old Lodestone).

Although I don't agree with your statement that the Miqotes beauty has been "crippled", I don't question the results of your extensive research.

I can't write large posts explaining my opinions, suggestions, etc because i can only post on my phone at the moment... But, what I meant to say was: You wish to have your 1.0 look again. That much is clear to all. The Miq'otes have been altered (probably to fit the male counterpart and lore), that much is clear too.

We can't expect SE to implement a complete different body structure within our current customization options for the Miq'ote just so that we can get that same look back. No matter if we wanted this look or not.

So, thinking ahead... How about a solution which lies in the middle of it by introducing a new "race" in the form of a mixed race?

If such a new mixed race will be introduced lateron, you could use that Phail of Fantasy to change your appearance then (if the new mixed race suits your taste).

IMO it's kind of a shame that instead of simply making the male Miquo'te match to the female they felt the need to change the female to suit the male instead while altering all the previous Miquo'te players in the process.

You know, part of the floating gear problem isn't the 'reduction of biomass' but the absence of graphically represented belts, right? I noticed this with the coatees, they hang not because of bodyshape but because the matching half-apron is no longer being represented outside of a slot on the character sheet.

Yeah I do know about the no belts and that dose add to the problem but also the Miquo'te female has a back problem now, alot of her Human back has been hollowed out to form a caved in back-like appearance. I can't say I agree of this adjustment, it is mainly visible from the side.

With other players they hang because of a lack of belt but they hang more on the miquo'te due to body alteration.

Basically the only view my character looks the same as 1.0 is from the front, every other view it looks completely different.

I demand my lala have nipples, abs, and a bulge slider, so everyone can know how awesome I am!

I've slowly been starting a character of each race and I've gotta say that so far I think Mi'qote have the most pleasing action stance and walk. As much as I like my Elezen, the walking motion bugs me constantly.

The Miquo'te back is probably my biggest issue with the race now to me it just looks deformed.

Let me clear something up. I may be a pervert, but that has nothing to do with my character having no butt cheeks at all. It doesn't look good. A lot of the gear I have found would make you believe I have a butt, except there isn't anything under there but 2 legs that join to my torso.

Also, I never mentioned breast size. My kitty needs itty bitty titties.

I am playing the game, I don't know why people think you can't play and post on a forum.

TLDR

Cats need dat ass.

Do you strip your kitty often or something? I can't see my cat's body with these thick armors.

What about males? Fit males get a pretty toned rump as well and my cat is clearly lacking. Also the lack of even a little bulge in the front is sad.

I like my Miqo'te just the way they are.

LMAO I find this funny coz, trust me it's a huge reason the female isn't as crazly overpopulated as befor.

A human shaped female cat girl needs a but without a but she's just a cat shaped cat girl.....
The Miquo'te female was supposed to look like a Human in forms of it's body shape, take away the but and it's a completely different character now.

Mithra had a but, Miquo'te 1.0 had a but, 2.0 Miquo'te should still have a but.

Its spine was even reconstructed all the way down to match with it's flat rear......
It’s like she has been alienated.

I miss my HUMAN shaped cat girl, the character I was expecting to come back to for 2.0... this is a huge difference.
