Miqo'te

I want a dragon based race. The children of bahamut must unite!!

All I know is I'm the only female Elezen I've ever met who is not a NPC and 90% of my duty finder groups are me and 3 Miqo'tes, usually female.

Stop breeding like cats and let the other races, like us amazin' Elezen, get some attention!

My understanding is one of the first veteran rewards you can receive is a potion that allows you to remake your appearance to pick new hair styles, eye colours, facial options, race, and even gender.

I have to admit I purposefully avoided making a Miqo'te because I figured everyone would make one. Well, that's only partly true. When I saw the Elezen character prototype I was all :O and just HAD to make one! On the servers I play on, I see many Hyur and Lalafell as well as Miqo'te.

I am bad, I made 2 of them :( Sorry! I don't like to be the human race, and I LOVE cats, so they are a perfect mix for me.

You get a full make over potion once you subscribe to the game.

Must admit, I too am on the Miqo'te bandwagon. I knew they were the most popular race at start but 'what the hay'..
I don't think I have seen a female Roegadyn yet though....
I may change to a different race when subscription starts.. nah, who am I kidding...

Miqo'te keepers of the moon have the best starting mind attribute. I picked it because it's best for conjurer. That was my only deciding factor.

Miqo'te are very human-like and versatile, like the Hyur, but many people think that they have more personable and charming emotes/animations in comparison. And for some, the cat ears and tail are a big draw too.

I'm not huge on the whole cat person thing, but I picked Miqo'te because they are cute, short, and have a hairstyle I really like. Midlanders have no hairstyles that I care to use, and Elezen are crazy tall (6'4" minimum for the guys), so kitty it was!

I know they are the most popular and all, but if I'm going to keep playing the game, I need a character I really like. :P I love the Miqo'te. I love cats, but I also need to play a character that looks more human with a few feline or other animal traits. Miqo'te were perfect, not furries. :P

The lack of creativity astounds me. All I see is cats. Cats everywhere I fucking look. Fem Rogs aren't bad, people, c'mon. And the NAMES some people have, ugh. "X Highwind" here, "Y Strife" there. Use your fucking imagination for christ sakes.

But, but... Roe's are people, too.

My character is a Lalafell because they are so cute and small... but then my retainer is a Miqo'te because I find it funny to see my Lala staring at anyone tall and ordering them to go sell stuff, lol.

I went Keeper for the Lore. I did make a few Hyurs. But I really didn't like the way they run - both Highlander and Midlander. Lalafell, I agree and share the opinion that they are too child like for me. Roegadyn and Elezen make awkward looking WHM, in my opinion. I also just couldn't make a Roegadyn I was happy with. I had made an Elezen I was pretty fond of, but I felt awkward as CNJ.

I was paired up with a female tank Roegadyn the other day for my dungeon. It was awesome, not to mention she was a great tank and didn't even get mad when a forgot to heal her during a pull... since I was too busy telling everyone that I have a Female Roe tanking my party! :). I agree with diversity but then I've always wanted to play a male Miqo'te since the days of the all female Mithras in XI... Livin' the dream finally! But for the rest of you go make some more Elezens and Roes :)

What, people aren't allowed to name their characters after their favorite characters anymore? It has to be an original character or nothing? Wow, so glad I'm not on the same server as you then, fff.

Seriously, don't get mad at people for wanting to show off who they're favorite FF character is. The annoyance over all the Miqo'tes is one thing, and completely understandable, but this anger towards people who pick names that aren't "creative" astounds me. Whenever I see a "X Highwind" or "Y Strike" or even a full name like my own, I smile and laugh because it reminds me of what I love about this series, geez.

Go outside and take a chill pill or something instead of getting angry at people's names. :/

I play a Miqo'te female. I went with them because I love cats and females are more badass when put in a hero position than males since women are usually put in a damsel in distress position. I am also a very big fan of the happy-go-lucky personality that they have.

I've been playing FF since 1990 when FF1 came to the NES in the US (my first video game, and I still love that game). I have always preferred the happy-go-lucky characters (FF1 - FF4 didn't really have any; Krile (FF5); Relm (FF6); Yuffie (FF7); Selphie (FF8); Eiko (FF9); Rikku (FF10); FF12 (maybe Penelo even though I hated her because she annoyed me) and FF13 (maybe Vanille even though she was so full of sadness) didn't really have any.

That's why I went with Miqo'te. I don't regret it either. My character is awesome and if I want to, I'll change her appearance (most likely her hair style) with the Grand Company item that you can buy.
