Most of the people who shout that way are the worst type of players skill wise. They are looking to get carried by the people who put in work.
im just going to say it: For all the jerks out there that don't want to hand hold newbies. GET A FREE COMPANY and do all a favour and stay out of the duty finder. : )
I get they want you to actually watch a youtube video or something to know the fight generally. But to be so specific in who you bring to your group just over a week into the game is a little ridiculous IMO. I don't think anyone could be considered an expert at the end game content yet, there just hasn't been enough time for people to do them.
The Ironic part is it's not even that bad on Legacy servers in terms of server only, it is pretty bad in duty finder though.
It's nice on the JP servers... at first. Good luck getting a group for anything that isn't in duty finder on a JP server though. I've been shouting for days for a party for Hydra, even standing right next to parties that are forming and asking if I can join them sometimes, and haven't received so much as one reply to a shout or even a polite "sorry, full" from another forming party. I use auto-translator. I use Google Translate for anything that doesn't appear in Auto (which is A LOT more often than it should be -- come on SE, at least put some quest titles, monster names, or the words "relic" or "weapon" in there). These group quests simply are not fun at this point. Enjoy transferring in -- I'll be transferring out. At least progressing with NA's elitist jerks beats sitting on my thumb in town for six hours a day shouting to no avail.
I think after all these threads I'm probably doing the right thing by taking my time to level. Ill hit 50 when the rest of the casual base hits 50 and we can do hard modes sippin peach shnapps in our underwear talkin bout our fav 90s band.
Yeah I had a guy today tell me to go watch the cut scenes on my own time... Well I shared some colorful words and got him to shut his mouth :)
I have also seen people say must know the fight, but if only 10 people do how do they expect the rest of the 50s to learn?
You wanna see Coerthas chat on Odin EU. All the newbies in Gridania are more mature that the level 40 - 50s running around Coerthas. Arguing over WoW, GW2, calling each other names, trolling. Never seen anything like it. I will admit at times some of it is hilarious and I have joined in the more mature comedic discussions but the rest of it just baffles me. It just worries me because if most people are like that, getting grouped up with them must be a nightmare.
I got lucky though. In a pretty cool FC and I play with friends so I can just retreat to all that when the meanies in Coerthas pick on me.
Honestly the majority of these types of players will be gone in a month or two because they'll complain theres nothing to do. Just wait em out. I watch my cut scenes and will continue to the first time through any new dungeon.
We should play together some time in the future. One of the few types of players I don't tolerate are the ones who treat other players like crap for not being super hardcore. People can think they're hot stuff all they want, that's cool, but they aren't going to do anything in the game that you and I can't do as well.
And everyone else, I want to point one thing out: You can watch cut-scenes later if you skip them... but that in no way means that you have to skip them!

Bees. If you see them and don't kill them, why bother playing a MMO? >.>
