There were a few. You had to go to the Waking Sands to start the series.

I assume that the uptime for the servers won't change from the current 2 hours 45 minutes from now?

to those who were able to download the latest patch, please help out those having version check issues (like me) by uploading your working boot folder and posting it here.

It could be content for the summer seasonal event. They said it would be out about a week or so after launch so this would be a good time to patch the client for it even if they wait for servers to be stable and everything to check out before making it live.

Semantics honestly.. It doesn't matter what they call it. They needed to do some kind of update to the client regardless, if for no other reason than to add the new servers to the local serverlist. Hopefully more than that of course, but they love staying quiet until the last second..

I've edited my previous post, but I guess I'll place it here again just in case for the ones with version check error after login

"I've got a tip from FC friend telling me to right-click on the file in the boot folder->properties, and click the "Unblock" button if it's there, repeat this for all files in the boot folder. (The button will only be shown if the file was from someone's else computer)"

Hope this work. I wasn't able to try this tip myself, since I already got the working boot folder from a friend before him telling me about this tip. He had the same problem before and did the "Unblock" to solve this error

Edit: tested this method but didn't work for me. >.< I don't want to request latest boot folder everytime launcher has updates

Is it me or does this feel like a new release night?

To those thinking that they're going to add additional voices to cutscenes. You're being delusional, try to use common sense. It would be really akward and silly to backtrack and add voiceovers to cutscenes that people might have passed by now. If it was forgotten by mistake, sure. But then we would have seen a quick patch much sooner. The cutscenes without voices are intended to be that way. Most of the time because our character's name is mentioned in the dialogue.

I'm simply guessing that they're adding the files for the summer event with all kinds of fixes and small additions. It's what they usually do. Leaving them to just enable it, once the summer event begins.

Still no patch available for me. Are you people being able to download that 1g patch?

10 minute download, not max speed but oh well, at least upload servers are somewhat fast compared to other games <3. Just hope that there won't be the login raidboss again.

Don't worry about the download guys. It still says "The game is unavailable for play during maintenance" after downloading and finishing the update, so you can just take your time downloading the file.

If I was to guess, I'd say the 1GB size is to add additional cutscenes to the Praetorium.

And they have all the right to complain some people can only log in peak hours cause of there work, SE could have solved the problem from start
with a temporary 30 auto log out and a decent Que.

Summer event is Moonfire Faire. Our reps have mentioned it, and Yoshida mentioned it in Letter LIVE #8. Here are links to the past 2 years' events. (Possible spoilers if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. But they're worth a peek just to see the event posters, imho.)

I wouldn't get your hopes up on any added content. It'd be a pleasant surprise, but a surprise nonetheless.

It's likely they did some client-side changes (small bug fixes, etc), and that 1gb is the minimum amount of data that has to be sent back for patching.

I hope Vista and some XP users will get the disappearing mouse bug fix for fullscreen mode. Full window fps sucks compared to fullscreen and I can't choose my resolution in full window. Maybe the minimizing bug in windows 8 too that freezes the game when you minimize (happens everytime to my wife).

So servers are up and im in game and we still have no patch notes. Odd. Wonder what the 1 gb was for?
