Raise your hand if you are at home mindlessly trying to log in right now

been staring at my screen for 2 hours hitting 0

A) im still stuck with two service accounts, B) now I cant even log into my temporary Japan and or EU characters. even if i did wanna start over i cant on NA. ::sigh:: it will be a week tomorrow night. *both hands and feet raised*

im raising my hands and the hands of all my alts and all their retainers.

I've been trying to try.. Once I launch the game I either get a lobby error at the title screen, or the server list refuses to load. I don't think I've seen the server full message.

Posting from my laptop now because I just fucking smashed my pc monitor on the wall.

I've got IED (intermittent explosive disorder) and prone to bouts of uncontrollable rage, that are disproportionate to the situation at hand.

I have calmed down a bit now but still extremely angry at not being able to log in and losing my new Samsung LED screen.

I woke uo at 8:13am and have been trying for 2 hours now. cant believe this

I keep trying, but it's to no avail. It's labor day in Canada, a work free day.. I want to play some ffxiv :(

I've been in since 3 AM this morning. I don't mind waking up that early since my job forces me to wake up at 2 AM and be there by 4 AM. Should of made future plans since it is Labor day.

I tried for about two hours and I'm now giving up. It's disappointing but I'm not heartbroken. I'm going to use this opportunity to do things I've been neglecting - laundry, working out, ect.

Was all excited when I remembered yesterday that today is a holiday. One more day of FFXIV! But I guess everyone had the same idea.

At least earlier in the day the JP servers would load and I was frankly tempted to roll on one. I've been thinking of doing so since Phase 4 during the Error 3102 situation. But now even those won't load and my "Start" button has grayed out. Now consistently getting Error 2002.

Personally, I think staying logged on has some merit for those that choose to do so. It's something I've always considered when logging off for the night. It doesn't feel right for me (just thinking of all that wasted electricity and my PC's pretty old, not sure it can handle being on 24 hrs a day) but I don't blame others for doing so because it's pretty much their only recourse at this point. I hear some of them haven't been able to log on much time since Early Access.

If I knew it was going to be this bad today though I would have finished more quests last night. :p

Sigh... Been trying for 2 1/2 hours now.

I was but I've given up. It's too much like torture.

The best part is the holiday. So its probably going to be like this all day and wont be fixed. Glorious!

3 hour and nothing... first time happening at this hour... is a holiday or something??? for there to be so many people at this hour/??

*raises hand* >^.^< Ive been up since 3am est (due to my insomnia)trying to get on and either get 1017 or i only get to start screen with the start button greyed out T.T its frustrating at best to have the time to play but not be able to play what i want hears hoping to a bigger apology tan 7 more days of play time when who knows if they can be used if the servers are still horridly packed and no way of transferring to a less populated server well either way i wont pay them anything more if they cant fix this despite the fact that i love the game (when I'm able to actually play) so hears hoping we can play sometime today

im going insane I was in doing my 25 cnj duty and I got kicked out during it and now cant even it start to try and log back in wtf man

It is a holiday actually. Labor Day weekend. Most people with office jobs and such have the day off. So there are definitely more people trying to get in, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people haven't logged out all weekend to ensure they get to play.

just got in from work... not happy about this :( seriously the people that don't have jobs and log in from 10 in the morn......... DO MY HEAD IN, and if your a kid then fair enough cos i would do the same if i were a lad lol ( btw im in europe we have no labor days apart from bank holidays which it is not atm )

No. I'm on a bus tethered to my smartphone trying to mindlessly log in...

I was happy and got in for an hour or so, then for the first time ever my laptop overheated..NOOOO! Haven't been able to get on since.

After a ridiculous two and a half hours of non stop button mashing to trying to get into the EU server last night I gave up and joined a JP server. Today I can't get into either.
I'd like to say I'm getting so angry that I won't play it anymore....but I can't...hence me button mashing for another hour or five today.

I haven't been able to log for almost a week. So much for being Legacy. I gave up by saturday then just try it for a few minutes once a day and I'm slowly loosing interest in this game.

Playing on PS3, got logged in after an hour of 1017 then error 9000 in less than 5 mins. QQ

Can not wait till thursday when all the damn kids go back to school, please go to bed early little kids and go back to school.

If you are clicking, start, character, ok, ok on error message, back to start and repeating, there is no way you are taking this long. I have logged in mutiple times every day since early access and have never taken longer than 10 min, and the average is about 4-5 min.

Sure, you could take 9 hours. If you are actually waiting until "later," as the error message suggests, before trying again. If you only try once every 5 min., it would take several hours to get the number of tries I get in 4-5 min.

It's a numbers game, stop whining here and click faster.

Well I would have raised my hand 30 minutes ago, but I got in on my backup character on Ixion JP server. If I knew I could log in on my main in Cactuar NA server then I would be spamming that login button already. Don't feel bad though cause at least we are all together in this trying to fight this thing. When they get the server and all the other stuff straighten out, then everybody will be happy!

Seems like we are going to have a HUGE community with all these people trying to log in. Anyhow keep spamming that login button, you will get in eventually! NEVER GIVE UP!

Spam doesn't work anymore. It fail getting the server list, Start button disabled or 1017, 2002 error even before getting the character select screen. Its like that for me since 8am and I wish I didn't log out last night.

Been trying to login since 6:30am PDT. Finally after 2 and a half hours of spamming i got into hyperion!. whoop whoop!

Ummm go to hell? i had 1 hour 30 mins spare time to enjoy playing a game i payed alot for, i am and alot are going to keep trying and click faster? WTF? you can only click as fast as it will let you
and when you can not even click the start button then wtf are you supposed to do, so yeah stfu please

I have been getting the 1017 message on the character selection screen for the last ten minutes... Not even trying to get into a world, just trying to get a char so how is the world full?

and jmdatcs yeserday I tried for two hours straight just mindlessly pressing x and it never once even went to queue (which I have been kicked out of a few times in the past) so ya I can believe hours spent trying to get in. Especially since it's been an hour already I have been doing the same.

Yoshida Brothers just hacked into my account and crashed my game while I was writing on forums. Now I'm doing to the login spam dance with yall! Woohoo!

The reliability needs improved IMO, I get a message that says the servers are down a tenth of the time I try to log in. This is an MMO and most MMOs usually have the servers up and running. CoD isn't an MMO, but it has bigger launches than the 200K concurrent users that FF14 has had so far and CoD plays well about 2 days after launch. Since FF14 has restricted logins and character creation, I see no reason for the poor reliability we are experiencing.
