TIRED OF ALL THE PROBLEMS GOING ON?! DO WHAT I AM DOING

I found this a moment ago, and reading it helped some of my tension a little bit.

Still, an entire day has gone and I was not able to get into que for a login today. Sort of to be expected, it was the long weekend, but that doesn't make the last 14 hours any less wasteful. Still, I was able to catch up on some reading.

Read that post I linked, it's pretty comforting I suppose.

Don't put me into your category, don't lower me to your standard, and don't accuse me of anything because you don't know who I am. I have waited just as long as everyone else for this game to come out. I have provided consistent feedback to the developers to improve this games quality. I don't feel I deserve anything except what I've been promised, and neither should you. One day you will grow up without even realizing it and understand how I feel. I would love to play this game right now! Spend hours leveling a character, crafting and whatnot. I understand there are problems with this game but I'm not going to get a bent outta place, especially the first week in! Grow up lady

It's really funny to watch and it saves the trouble of spamming login, hopefully some of you find this useful.

It's a macro compiled to spam the login. you can make your own if you choose but i just downloaded the compiled one, and am now watching my client attempt to log me in much faster than i was able to, and without any effort on my part. I'm hopeful it will succeed tonight.

What's going to be funny is when someone gets queued and it cancels out on them after like 4 hours of trying lol... We need to get a youtube video on this

There is another great program called BandiCam, both are reasonably cheap to buy too. I'm going to get a youtube video of my 1017's :P

Lol surprisngly... this being a holiday weekend, I have been able to get into the game 4 times!!! Mind you from early access sunday up until friday I have not been able to play the game due to 1017. So I have been quite content this weekend :P.

i already gave up for the day. there is no way ill get on until they upgrade their servers....sigh.

Yes, unlike the Japanese, we prefer a level of professionalism that is unknown in your land. We actually expect professional programmer's to be competent enough to create a useful queuing system for their servers. You're right, we expect way too much.....

Honestly, I don't know why we even have this topic. For me, if I pay for something (bus fares, any kind of services, even a GAME), I want it to be full operational and working as it should be. Can I do other stuff while it does not work? OF COURSE, but it is not the point.

Dang, alot of Grumps, towards my post :-P , I see the problems and experienced all the errors as everyone else, yet, I see the same posts over and over the same questions etc... I've played on and off since official'launch and logged some good hours, I agree with the original poster, its not the end of the world, I say typical American because of my thoughts and many others of how this generation is looked at, oh, glad everyone is ready to judge :-)

easy for someone to bash us who are being impatient.. Well some of us have college starting back up and want to hit max lvl before then.. now is looking impossible to do. I mean I didn't get this game for free, it wasn't a hand out, I wasn't given a free copy. Had that been the case I would not even be complaining. I payed hard earned money for this game, I'm not one of the 1 percent who gets to throw money around like it's going out of style. If you don't like hearing all the cry babies anymore, how about moving to a country where your opinions really don't matter. Also if you make the wrong opinions you might just lose your life or be stoned to death "Afghanistan" maybe you all should move there. I'm sure you'll hear a lot less crying.

If this was couple days after early access, I would agree... but it's not.

I have been trying to log in for 4+ hours now. Can I play a different game? Yes. Can I do something else like watch a movie or do yard work? Yes. Thing is I spent money purchasing a game as that is what I wanted to do with my free time. I wanted to play an MMO with my friends. The most frustrating part of all these errors is that they are not consistent to everyone across the board. Some are able to log in and enjoy the game they paid for. Others like myself are left out. My friends are out leveling me by leaps and bounds simply due to my inability to play. So now I don't get the chance to play with my friends and experience the content together. Eventually I might be able to level up on my own or with random PUG players. Then once I finally reach max level I can play with my friends. These problems I feel are unacceptable. As much as I enjoy the game my frustration is quickly coming to the point where I won't want to play even when I am able, assuming they ever fix the issues.

Lol this post makes me really sad... :(. Perhaps you should buy a dog, or a cute kitty. Perhaps online dating? Idk... And I feel you may game too much if not being able to log in would put you in such a sour mood you would put that on other people should you hang out with them. Mayhaps you need a good book instead. Or get hooked on a tv show!

If you have not experienced this error, than you should not comment as you have no idea on the frustration that not just "AMERICANS" as you call us are experiencing but many folks around the world

I have to agree with the OP, trying to log in over and over while getting an error or world full message is just going to frustrate you further. Better to wait until all these issues have been sorted out or your opinion of the game will just be soured. If you read the terms and agreements that we all agreed to it states that SE will not be held responsible in circumstances such as this, so if we do get compensated it's not something they had to do.

My OP wasn't meant for you then, please read through the other posts, it wasn't meant for people who decide to be rude, etc. It was meant to say, "hey, it's not working, stop complaining and wait it out." We can complain all we want but if it's not going to be fixed till this Friday then we can get as upset as we want but it won't change anything.

This post is completely ignorant. If you had ever been to Afghanistan or the many other countries I have been to and actually talked to the local nationals, you would know it's the same everywhere. -cont.-

The only difference is us "stupid Americans" are too impatient. Yeah, you paid for the game. Your upset because it's not up like it should be. Read the contract you agreed with before you cry.

There are times I have problems on the PS3, I normally just hop onto Dragon's Crown for about 15-20 minutes and when I hop back on to FFXIV it starts running fine. I've also noticed that it seems less likely to freak out if you don't skip (or don't try to) the developer names in the beginning.

A lot of posters have very good points.
Yes we paid for a game and can expect to be able to play it.
Yes SE should have been able to more or less determine the turnout and prepare for it.
Yes it is just a game and there is more to life than a game.

My thoughts
While SE could have been more prepared what about the last minute purchases. That can make a huge difference. The Dev team is not happy with the current situation but they cannot just throw a band-aid at it and expect it to hold together. What they are trying to do is get a permanent proper fix in place so that the issues we are experiencing are actually fixed. We have to have patience and allow them to work. Keeping characters logged in is not helping matters in fact it makes it worse. As for as impatient Americans are concerned that can be said for anybody and not just Americans.

No doubt it is futile but I am adding my voice to the unhappy ones.
Why on earth should we accept that a brand new game by an experienced developer has a completely inadequate infrastructure from day 1? How on earth could they so badly misjudge the capacity needed? This is not their first MMORPG and they know how popular FF is.

Guild Wars 2, Neverwinter and others have never given me a moment's problem. There is no excuse for saying new MMORPGs will always have teething troubles, this a total failure of service for many people. This game is not free to play like Neverwinter and many others but they get the inrastructure right.

Where is the status notice saying the problems won't be fixed till Friday (as mentioned by Kairug)? It certainly isn't obvious anywhere. They could communicate clearly through the game interface and launcher not just bury it in forums.

Whinge over. Somebody should be getting their @##@ kicked.
