3. You're way too ignorant and generalizing military personnel way too much. Just because you use something as an excuse doesn't mean everyone does. I know way more people that were in armed services that don't act like idiots than do, and far far more that would never in a million years use it as an excuse even if they were handicapped by it. It's as a stated before, integrity, or did your OC never teach that to you?
4. I've worked closely with the military, so stop trying to school me on something I know about and defacing the name of the individuals that fight for their country.
Working with and being in....two very different things. If you don't like me, or my views, I could honestly care less. It's called opinion, I did my time, went through the crap, and have the right to have an opinion about it....I honestly have a VERY sour taste in my mouth towards the military, and you aren't really going to change that, so I suppose arguing with someone else might be a better option. I fought for this country, and put up with all the bs that comes along with it, I think I've earned the right to speak my mind on the military or this country. Oh and before you respond, read what I said....I never ONCE, not ONE time, stated anything was an "excuse" or that I thought something because of the Army. Lol. Jesus.
My OC? Really? It's CO (Commanding Officer), and CO's don't "teach" much, maybe you were meaning Drill Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, or something along those lines. OC's are used in training units for deploying units, or other countries' deploying units. I was stationed in a unit that had an OC Team in Germany. You just enjoy handing out insults, first with the "integrity" and now claiming I was never taught things. Do you even know what integrity means? I think you might want to look it up yourself. Telling something like it is, isn't an excuse, it's fact. If a guy gets his leg blown off by an IED and gets crappy care and a ridiculously painful medboard (seen these), then it's the Army's fault, plain and simple. It's not an excuse. Lol. You know how many people in the Army I was stationed with or deployed with that didn't have an alcohol problem that lead to them getting in trouble for DUI's or violence, got kicked out for doing hard drugs, or how many people didn't cheat on their spouses or chat online with various women and or men, or actually have violence issues at home that lead to MP's getting called? Honestly, now that I think about it, around 20. 20 people in 9 years. I think I have a bit larger of a perspective than you do. Just sayin. That must be that integrity from the "true" soldiers hard at work there.
I still have some really good friends in the Army. So I'm not saying they all are, what I am saying is you need to back off, unless you've been there and done something, then your opinion really doesn't hold much weight....at all. Especially with the subject you're wanting to go on about. That's like me saying "I know the cops, I've worked with them before, police brutality and over-stepping their authority is a rarity, cause I know them!"....yeah no. Are military folks bad? Nope, like I said, have a ton of friends still in I was stationed and deployed with. But stop putting them on this "OMG they're so amazing, they would NEVER say anything bad about their organization because they are true soldiers with integrity!" pedestal....they're people, that's it, doing a job, that they signed up to do. Just like I did. We have normal issues, normal vices, etc....however, because the military is such a huge organization that is actually VERY accepting of people when it comes to joining, you get problems WAY more often then a normal job or career field.
Part 2: According to the EULA, upon using the code and accepting the EULA, you cannot ask for a refund. Perhaps reading more should be in your future? Just because BBB says it was handled doesn't mean the person got a refund, especially when the person claimed yesterday they still hadn't....umm yeah. A product CAN still be refunded, sure, but in different circumstances and on a case by case basis....otherwise, what's the point of the EULA then? Might as well just take that out if everyone can still get one....the only thing you're doing is further proving my point.
I'd like to ask who and where you purchased the game from. That is where you are going to get your refund. If you bought it online at the SE website. (I will assume not as most cities I know have EB or some other game store and that is much more convenient) You most likely did not go through the correct channels. (Not saying you are dumb, but sometimes we choose to see what we want.)
It is surprisingly common now for developers to go into therapy or downright leave the industry for abuse ranging from a toxic community to death threats. If there is a game involving some big IP coming, you can bet the developers have gotten a death threat or two from disgruntled fans. Fan is short for "fanatic" and sometimes it is easy to forget that.
