This right here... So messed up..

I was about to do my instance for lvl 30 Arcanist quest and it wouldn't let me connect to Duty Finder.
I should have stopped trying to get int, by the 3rd try I DCed and now I'm locked out.

I wanted to get Summoner before work.

I don't even get a chance to see a world list or select a character to log in as. It just goes straight to an Error 1017 :x

How can it tell me a server is full when I it hasn't even given me an option of which server to log in on....?

Apparently servers and updates are in plan to implement tomorrow?

Login Issue Update
I know many of you are still affected by the World login and character creation restrictions, so I would like to give you all a brief update on the progress of the measures we are taking to alleviate this situation.

Current Server Status

To ensure as many players as possible can log in and create characters on existing servers, our development and operations teams are monitoring server load and population around the clock, placing and removing restrictions with even the slightest fluctuation in numbers in order to maintain near-full capacity on each World. We are still experiencing maximum concurrent connection numbers of over 230,000 users. This number, however, has taxed some of our instance servers, and is causing unexpected down time here, as well.

Scheduled Maintenance for Wednesday, September 4 (Japan Time)

The addition of new Worlds, as well as the adjustments to the duty finder servers, will be complete as of tomorrow. We will then enter our final internal testing phase of these features in preparation. If the results from these tests are favorable, we will conduct an extended all-World maintenance on Wednesday (Japan time). Once the new Worlds are implemented and the duty finder server load has been redistributed over smaller World server groups, we believe that many of the login issues that players are currently experiencing will clear.

When Worlds do finally reopen after the maintenance, we expect a rush of players trying to log back in. To prevent any further login issues, we will be using the utmost caution when restarting each World. Please understand that there may be some congestion at this time.

The development and operations teams are currently dedicating their full resources to alleviating the issues at hand and providing all of our players with a stable environment in which to experience the realm of Eorzea.

Free Trial Extension

To apologize to our loyal fans who may not have been able to login or create characters during early access and the days immediately following launch, the development and operations teams are currently considering providing all player accounts with an additional seven days to their free trials. This includes non-legacy players from 1.0, who will be given new seven-day free trials. Trial extensions will be awarded after the aforementioned server maintenance on Wednesday. Details on the trial extension, including the extension period, will be released in a separate post as soon as they have been solidified.

We thank our fans again for the overwhelming support you have shown us over the past week. The response to FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn has well exceeded our expectations, and unfortunately resulted in our inability to provide the service which we originally intended. We humbly ask for your continued patience as we work to alleviate the issues as we truly appreciate all of our fans. We are very sorry for the frustration that has resulted from these problems.

Thank you for the info...but it clearly says this maintenance is being implemented on Wed (tues for NA) not sure where you got tomorrow from except that he said it will be complete at that time, but then goes on to say they will be testing after that point.

yup this issue is back in full force. As of a few min ago the 'Start' button would not even light up. I assume it is because it can not find any servers.

Attempted both game and PC restart. Nothing wrong on my end.

Lol it went from "Unable to update group N/EU" to 1017 error w/o even loading a world. How is a world full when it didn't even load a world.... And to think I thought I'd be able to play some tonight since I had to work tomorrow.

Probably the reason their login servers are messing up. half the population cant get in and is spamming start - character - ok - error repeat. Can't say I'm not one of them... /sigh

Doubt it. I just made a character on JP server to test an idea when I couldn't load NA/EU servers. I got through the first scene, exited game, and now it has same issue but for JP servers and NA/EU servers pop up... Fun twist there eh?

I am experiencing the same problem, but I am on Cerberus. I logged out in the Inn and now I can't even load the NA worlds or it says
"Lobby full" before I can even hit start.. quite irritating. Another problem I keep encountering is that I keep putting in the correct password +the one time access code and it says its wrong.. what the heck is going on!

Don't worry about that, pal. They'll extened the free trial period with an extra week. Plus on Wednesday they'll add new worlds thus getting rid of the 'too busy worlds' problem.

Wow.... I finally got the NA/EU list to load my character. spammed to get logged in after multiple "Server full" errors. It finally started to load the Loading Screen w/o any error message for a full minute so I was like ":O!!!!!". Turned out I got trolled by the servers and got Error 2002. Que "The Price Is Right" failure music here.

World of Warcraft at launch.

The part that really bugs me is that I don't really care that the servers are full...Fine whatever, the server is full, just don't give me a fucking message saying "try again later." Put players in a fucking queue so they can wait in line to get into the server over just spamming 0 over and over trying to get it. I work in IT, I know the nightmare they go through, but I also know that players constantly hitting the datacenter like that causes more strain on them than it would to just have them thrown into a queue and wait to get into the server.

This has been happening for almost a day now. I got the message in game last night that emergency maintenance was about to begin, so I rushed to the inn to log off. Haven't seen the NA/EU list since then, and usually the start button is greyed out before getting the 2002 error.

I can't even log into my world faery. I wish they would kick out the AKFers and Botters

Been trying to find the US/EU servers for 2 hours now. Either it can't find the US/EU servers or the game encounters an error finding the servers in general and then force closes.
