Unable to find NA/EU servers...

We should get experience for fighting that 1017 boss.

Everyday since the early access I've been coming home from long days of work wanting to unwind and play...and I'm always stuck with the 1017 error and now the group not available issue. -.- This sucks.

Server full on all the Japanese servers :( I left the NA server because of this crap....

Same issue, was spamming to get on a queue, and now this....

same thing here fought with the 1017 boss earlier and now this

Same here ... not only do we have to deal with the 1017 bs because they couldn't plan things out but now we get to fight for an hr to see the worlds then fight 1017 ...

This is ridiculous. I'm about to give up on Square Enix altogether between 1.0 this and the horrible excuse for a FF game as the 13 series. They have done jet skied up sh**s creek.

There was a cryptic "Emergency Maintenance is Beginning" message ingame or something to that effect, and now anybody who is not already in on the NA/EU servers cannot log on to them. Still haven't seen word one from Squeenix, but it appears to just affect the server browser/launcher.

Looks like LogIn servers are down.

This is a big sign of F U towards us. *SIGH* I guess can only log on in the middle of the night or late midnight morning

You know what amuses me soon my alt on the Japan Server is going to over take my one on NA ... Sad really, but I can understand how hard of a problem this has to be and I know everyone is looking for a quick fix, but as a programmer I can tell you it is not nearly that easy. No such things as a quick fix ..... Oh Well. Back to JAPAN. Have fun guys waiting for NA to come back up.

Yes same issue, restarted multiple times still same issue.

Looks like the events of .hack are about to begin! The fight with Cubia draws near as more people lose concious in real life and cannot log out (or in).

Same here :( I should have checked the forums first as I was in till I logged out 5mins ago when all sound disappeared :/

What really annoys me is that there's no notice anywhere that they even know something is going on - if you weren't in game for the emergency maintenance announcement, you'd have no clue. It's been, what, an hour now? And still no post about it.

EDIT: of course, as soon as I say that, they post something on Lodestone back-dated 75 minutes...

Seriously? lol............ The games is three days old and they are doing quite a bit to resolve issues, unlike Origin fixing SWTOR MONTHS to late, Or SC being a total flop and they issued refunds which they immediately took back and opted to give two crappy games instead. Didn't return all the cities we built and we "Lost" over the first few months.

In 8 years they have returned maybe 2 weeks of service fees and you know what, they could care less about you the customer.
Go ahead and whine, they love your money regardless every month.
So what? Vanilla release, sat in queue for the first 3 months, start your log ins 3 hours prior to wanting to play. Because they weren't in a hurry to fix it or reimburse you either. Sure they offered free migrations off over crowded servers after the three months, but did they reimburse you for the time you couldn't play? NOPE.
For 4 days after LK release, more than half the customers couldn't play, they weren't in a hurry, they had server congestion from all the kids coming on board, so the rest of the customers meant nothing, they paid their scripts already, money already collected. All they have to give you is 1 minute of the month and they met their part of the agreement. Read the Terms. Lord knows they are good at throwing it at you.

SE put out FFXI in 2003 to the US. Still online today, they brought extra servers up right away to accommodate the flow. PS 2 release in the following spring, more accommodations. They don't have much server maintenance but when they do it is to correct things that are drastically wrong or a quarterly update. 12 hours, Ill give them every three months.
Ill give them the time they need to get this up and running, they have been good over the years and FF series has been around forever, and these people know more about making games than you can imagine.

I just tabbed out after their cryptic in game message to try and read what the maintenance was about, went to tab back in and got "FFXIV has stopped working!" From my Windows. ; ; Now I'm stranded, cold, and alone!

dc'd immediately after a fate to the error 90000 and then NA/EU dissapeared. happened bout an hour ago still stuck out lol

I was actually in game heading over to turn in a quest when I got the 90000 error, when I went to try and get back to fight with the 1017 the NA/EUR words cannot be loaded. I know the shards aren't down cuz people I was playing with are still in.

As repeated several times in the thread, there is a maintenance going on. Sit tight and wait. Also for those saying they are going to get a refund over this, seriously? You are basically saying "Oh look, the game is down a few days after launch, REFUND ME NOW".

Also please refrain from trying to attack me over this as you are not the only one that has had Errors when trying to log in during EA or so...

Seriously bummed out about this.

That said, I'm not even thinking about asking for my money back. While I don't think the server issues were handled very well (at least increase the queue size instead of forcing button spam to get through 1017; I'd gladly wait 45 minutes in queue to log in, but spamming for that amount of time is balls), server issues and extended downtime are to be expected in any modern MMO launch. I'd rather have full servers with a wait to get in at launch than a massive expansion of servers, since a month or three down the line, that expansion always ends up in a bunch of dead servers and a couple with a decent population. Obviously there are median solutions to help alleviate the issues, but the main one I see people clamoring for is an increase in the number of servers.

I've played in numerous betas and launches of various MMOs. By and large, there have always been server/login issues at launch. If it's something I were not willing to endure, I would just wait a month before buying the game. Again, I'm not saying that SE has been particularly on the ball with their handling of these issues, but the issues themselves are to be expected.

Between not seeing the servers. Error 90000 or 3012 or 1017 i have been on maybe 45 minutes in 3 days. Its sad really cause i love the game. Did not have these problems in beta 8) But i sit here and still hit the 0 key to log in and pray it works.

Got a que then 1017. Sigh.

I can get onto the NA/EU servers now and log in. Try restarting your games.
