Sometimes no egg?

Ok was getting the same error you guys were. i just got a tick of anima back and i was able to get the quest flaged

You just need the anima to regenerate one point, and then it should work.

Ok I have no problem getting the quest now, I just have a problem on where to find the rest of the eggs?

Some people believe you get a new egg every 8 hours, similar to the bells from previous events.

That would be sad :( considering SE said that it wasnt going to be like the "bells" and that it was going to be an Egg Hunt. Some Egg Hunt this has turned out to be......

Considering anima was tied with that glitch I wouldn't be surprised in the very least.

So you have to use anima.. Then wait for it to regen before you can claim an Egg?

Do the different city's give different items? Also what happens when you complete the first quest? I really hope they dont just keep trying to give me an egg hat :[ they look so ugly and do nothing!!!

I don't think getting a new egg has anything to do with anima, I got my first egg yesterday, went to bed, logged on and wasnt able to get a egg. Tried talking to the NPC numerous times, gave up and came back about 15 min ago and he gave me a egg. I think it has a cd of around 12 hours to get a new egg.

I just got a second egg from the NPC. I got the unique Archon egg. I only need to find a water and lightning egg now and return to get my prize. I'll report back when I get that.

Is this your second prize or your first prize? Last time I checked we had to have 4 eggs to get the egg hat. So you must be on the second part of the quest right? Do you know what your going to get?

Okay I bought a water egg from someone. Just looking for a lightning egg and I can go back and turn the quest in. I forget what the reward was.

Just teleported and checked, it's a pristine egg cap. I'm doing the quest currently in Limsa.

Do you guys even read anything? Once you get one egg you basically have to help and get help from other people for the other eggs, and once you have all 4 eggs you trade them in for your reward. Its ok to work with others and trust other people, they'll probably help you out in return.

Anyone on Cornelia with a lightning egg? Last one I need and I can't find one :(

Yes, I'm fairly sure we all know how to read here, and we do so. The issue was that some of us weren't able to get even one egg. The few who got one egg.. well.. why trade away an egg that you need for another egg that you need. You're still left with one egg in the end, and have made no progress.
You can't really do anything until you have more than one egg.

Back on topic though. I was finally able to get eggs on the characters that I couldn't before. And able to get a second egg on my other characters. I wonder how many hours it is for a new egg.

Yeah I think that's the whole point of the event. Get some eggs and if you get multiples swap them for the other types of eggs.

well, i got my Pristine Egg Cap but now what?
i go back to the npcs with "!" over head and the one on the right says to trade same 4 eggs for a pristine.

Went to other cities, and can accept the quest from there if i wait the ticks of anima regen. But again, still only to recieve a second Pristine Egg Cap...

So, what's the next step? anyone figure out yet?

Maybe we have to complete the quests in all 3 starting cites. 4 eggs in each city would total 12..

you do *not* need 4 eggs :D You just need the archon egg and *one* between the other three kinds (lightning, earth and water).

But yeah,i have no idea on how to get the other, since whatever combination gives a pristine, from what I gathered from my LS mates.

well, i had to get all 4 before i got my helm... and i had all four in inventory and did not have any after i got helm, so...

still not sure where to get second part of chain in quests or

Yeah I had to get 4 eggs to get my helm as well. I am also stuck at the same part some of you are :( where to go from here?

I'm completing the quest in the other starting cities now. Maybe part two of the quests unlock after you've completed them all.

You'll see each hat has a special archon egg attached to it, except for the chocobo egg hat. I thought it might have something to do with the Miqo'te in Gridania but sadly after getting a Pristine hat she simply gave me the Gridania Gospel quest.
