I'm very glad all of this is being fixed :)

Sure having to wait 6 or 7 days for to be able to play the game is annoying, but it is to be expected of a good game that suddenly attracts a massive audience. Many games had/have similar issues with their servers etc. so you shouldn't stop playing the game due to one issue that is being sorted out anyway.
if it was to be expected then why didnt they expect it and prepare? lol interesting =-p
To be honest, I'm going to give them a week. If, by next Wednesday, the "early next week" hasn't passed and nothing is fixed, I'm out. Refund time.
Sick of this and how absolutely horrible it is. Yes, most MMOs have problems at launch. In my 3 MMO launches and a few MMO expansions, I have yet to run into an issue so ridiculous as this.
Ultimately, they should have been more prepared, given their ability to track presales. That said, now that they have communicated a clear plan and set expectations, I am willing to wait it out.
"Should be resolved very early next week"...?
OK, so realistically, I'll have 10+ days that were effectively paid to access, that I have been unable to play.
Let's say they get it running good on 9/4/13...
THAT better be the start of the 30-days free, with billing starting on 10/4/13 - and on 10/7/13 for Early Access players.
That is quite literally the only way this will not leave me angry.
And y'know what? I'm not out for blood - this is an entirely reasonable resolution.
So... early next week is the "real" launch then? This week obviously wasn't it. This week was Beta Phase 5.
I'm sure they'll give you more time....there has to be compensation
Updated with their latest post regarding the server full issue...see first page
Honestly, this should have been anticipated. We paid our money to play, not to sit around waiting. There is no timeout for those who sit and afk all day, thus preventing those who are trying to get in from playing. There is no queue to sit in, just a "try again later" message. There are messages on the login screens to make sure you select the world your friends are playing in so that you're all on the same server, yet you can't create characters in those servers because they're perpetually locked out. All of this adds up to poor customer service, and the feeling among the majority of new players that Square is stealing our money. It's completely unacceptable. I'm glad that they're increasing the size of the servers, but 6-7 days out? Not good enough. Not without some sort of further recompense for those of us who are PAYING to play this game.
