[Dev Help Please] Character Transfers Early

It's 8am for me, still nothing.
Should had gotten up on here exactly at 7am when I was up.

I would like to request free realm transfers from a highly populated server to one of the new upcoming NA servers.

I can't even log in at 1 in the afternoon....sad. and my Narcoleptic butt cannot be awake an functioning at such a time without luck so....

I support this thread, make a petition for this and i'll sign it bro.

I have heard no news on this.

I have a qn will it be possible to cross-region server transfer in future for instance, transfer my character from NA to a JP server as most of my friends are playing there or we can only server transfer within the NA/EU group ???? anyone knows ?

I would also appreciate if they give us the possibility to transfer to an other world.

When they spawn the new servers I would definetly want to transfer with my friends to one of them.

I bought the game hoping I could play with my friends only to find out that I could not.
Only one server was allowing new characters and it was an EU server even though I live in NA.

Square, please let us transfer.

Honestly they should offer one free character transfer with the new servers today/tomorrow. If people still find their servers to bogged down they should have the ability to jump to one of the new ones without needing to start over.

The paid server transfer will be up around mid September according to the mog station. SE might be giving time for the players on the new server to catch up before letting people from other servers to transfer over, since there are already lot of level 50 chars running around. Feels like SE is forcing people to reroll on the new server.

Price of 7 days free on Final Fantasy XIV ARR: $3.03 USD (based on the entry fee of $12.99/30 days)
Price of a World/Realm transfer on Final Fantasy XI: $25.00

Well based on the cost difference of a Final Fantasy XI World/Realm transfer and 7 days free on Final Fantasy XIV ARR we can definitely see why Square-Enix opted to give us 7 days of free play time.

The 7 days of free play time pacifies and gives instant gratification while saving Square-Enix money. They make out like bandits because eventually gamers like us will be forced to pay the $25.00 fee to transfer to a less populated realm or a realm that our friends are on.

The 7 days free is a temporary fix. A realm transfer is a long term fix and is the most honorable thing Square-Enix could offer to make up for the mis-management of resources on their part.

For crying out loud I play another popular MMO that allows totally free server transfers once every WEEK if you wish it.

We have both convinced a number of our friends from our long history of MMO playing to come play this game only to find that they can't create a character on our server due to the lockouts. We have all been in the mmo world long enough to not be frustrated too much by the login issues, but not being able to even make a character on the same server has put us all on edge. We are spread out on 4 servers now and we would all gladly pay to be on the same server. We aren't enjoying the game nearly as much as we could if we could play together. The only thing saving us from pulling our hair out each day is being able to be in ventrilo and chat with each other updating one another on where we are at for leveling and duty finder groups (both the positive and negatives of it).

I would gladly pay even $50 a pop if they would just let us do the transfers this week instead of two to three weeks from now... not to mention taking off the character creation lockouts. We are on leviathan and it has had lockouts with never being unlocked since day one of early release and maybe even as early as day 2 of phase 4 beta I just cant' remember anymore since it has been that long... =(

I really don't want to start all over just because our FFXI friends wouldn't listen when I said Excaliber would be full fast and we already had characters....TY SE for no EA for 1.0 preorder players.

Yes please server transfer ASAP. I want to rekindle to the people I used to play FFXI with. The server I wanted was full. SE put me into another server which I have never want it. I am sure the server I am in right now is a very nice server. SE I don't want to be a refugee. :mad:

I've been separated from my friends and would really appreciate the ability to transfer to their server. At this point the whole "legacy server" distinction moot: level 50s are everywhere. Free and open transfers would go a long way toward correcting the launch debacle. Thanks,

I played FFXI for several years on and off with a few friends of mine and we eventually played 1.0 together. When we heard about ARR we all tried to use our 1.0 characters but for some reason one of my friends was never able to use his 1.0 so he played throughout the beta phases and carried his beta phase 4 character over. He is on cactuar along with a few of my other FFXI friends but my 1.0 character ended up on the Legacy server Ridill. Does anyone know if the server transfers are going to apply to 1.0 characters on Legacy servers as well? If not this would be a huge let down as my friend is already past lvl 40 on his new character and nobody wants to start completely over. Is there any way we will all end up playing together without having to start from scratch? Please SE I just want to be able to play with my FFXI friends.

Yes please! Do something about this Situation! I've been super patient so far, but NEVER can I get onto moogle... There are these 6 servers in tha EU/NA section which are just inaccessible since 5 days now!

Any news, since we are now in mid-September? Due to the launch situation, I have a few characters spread out on different servers and I've been holding off joining an FC waiting to find out if and how I can bring them all together.

We're now past the middle of September and i am at my wits end. I work and go to school so when i spent all of labor day with no success trying to log in and i had to sit there and try to log on or i would get even more behind the curve. First i had to make a character on a back water server because the one i wanted to play on with my friends was guess what? Now i have friends scattered across realms and i waited patiently until mid September. I'm having to sit in long queues and dealing with pugs or try and make my own group with people i don't know and frankly aren't good just so i can try and gear up in the little time i do have. Ohh and when i do have a group good to go i have to wait in a AK queue for over 30 minutes.

If i do not get the server transfers i was promised soon and i don't mean Blizzards Soon™... I didn't expect the game to be perfect out of the gate but with what i have had to tolerate so far, if this was any other game i would have dropped you like a bad habit.

Seriously, I am sure many are in this same boat. A couple of people I know certainly are.
Therefore, I to would like to see transfers asap.

I saw in the most recent live letter translation by rienheart that they said october right after mentioning it. So I hope they didn't push it back without telling us.

I know you all are extremely interested in when we will be starting our world transfer service. I apologize that the web site has not been updated and is displaying an older date, but I am happy to share that the service will be available in the beginning of October.

Apologies for the long wait, but we will be announcing further details very soon!

As long things do not get too wonky with the transfers like lost of items, then I do not mind them pushing back the date a bit. The last thing I need is to find some (or most) of my stuff gone/missing because of transferring servers.

Great. I wonder how you guys will manage transfer for servers that are currently 'blocked' from new character creations.
