I'll be waiting it out. There have been a lot of improvements since beta and I know they will continue to resolve issues as they arise. Online games always have bugs. At least this game has a team that's actually continually fixing them as opposed to the "take what you get and shut up" approach. Not to mention, launch may provide a much needed cash infusion to upgrade or replace any faulty components of the US/EU system. From what I have seen so far it is well worth the wait. My Free Company Members alone are reason enough for me to stick it out, not to mention the game is great!

Which they will 100% do and you will never get your account back again. My wife did that back in XI and had to start from scratch because they kept double charging her so she put a stop payment on one of them. Bam. No more account and all her hard work gone forever.

Keep in mind you're not paying for service yet people. Oh how soon we forget that every MMO has these problems. WoW with every single expansion, SW:ToR, Diablo 3, the list goes on and on. Stop acting like a bunch of whiny children, let them take a couple days to sort it out and then enjoy the game as intended.

Yes, Damn they dropped the ball. I was complaining about this to in open chat and got told by a douche to "Take my negativity elsewhere" which I then told him well look at how many JP maintenance's there has been and how many NA.. but got told "More people on NA then JP LOOOOOL" -_-

All in all, you wont get a refund.. because they'll contest its not at release yet.

Ok, Im a marine my job is my life. I play games on the downside, go work out, go run, go hangout with friends on the downside drink a few beers every now and then. So in a way i have no life i work and have small get always on the weekends.

Please if you have a problem with that bring it to my CoC.

Who defines "life" i have yet to hear an answer to the meaning of life question yet have you?
"Life" is being alive by definition so how is he not alive? Honestly you have no idea how silly that statement is when thrown out as an insult.
I would like to add if anyone is to define what is "living life" it should be the person living that life not his peers. We all choose our own path through life good or bad and they all qualify as having a life. lol

I was able to get a refund on Simcity ($70) for that being unplayable. Didn't have to sign anything or go to the bank. All the needed was verbal confirmation, and the money was back in my account. Added bonus, account stayed active and I can still play it (but never do, because it sucks) so F!@# EA and F!@# Maxis. Obviously on a Sub game like XIV, you wouln't be able to continue to pay, but your bank might be able to give you your money back. No harm in talking to them first.

Am i the only one that laughed when that message appeared asking us to agree to terms involving refunds? That should have been the warning sign right there. I think they knew full well what was going to happen and were trying to build a fort. lol Sorry SE after COD BO most gamers have RPG's to work with. lol Once reviewers find out...
