It really makes little to no sense to me to have codes and the like so region based when all regions can play together across platforms, it's just asking for trouble.

Unfortunately Calastir, I did as you said, and it still didn't work. :/ I checked the links for My Profile / Settings until it pointed to the na website instead of the eu, entered my code, and I still got RAAE... sigh

see SE..now u're forcing us to trade codes..
We're closing in to 24th and yet that's almost no news on how you going to solve the RAAE - > RAAU issue..clear cookies blah blah blah doesn't generate us a new code..

Just to let everyone know, me and Nali just traded codes and registration was successful for the both of us. I'm only sharing in case any of you have doubts about trading codes. Yes it is true that one of you will have to make the first move and trust you won't be scammed, but the registration itself will work!

I get the impression that trading codes out of impatience (while it is appealing) may just be a terrible idea.
We still don't have enough information from SE about it and for all we know it may end up being a punishable offense to trade that information, that is on top of scams and the like.

Well we waited for 2 days and basically no official reply at all for those of us who are stuck. contacting their support didn't help with the model answer or just cutting our calls off.
Is 23rd, we're left with 1 day to 24th. SE kind of forced players to do this in this kind of situation. If u read the earlier replies about how they cannot "CHANGE" you region, or "EXCHANGE" ur EU code to NA, it tend to piss people off.

Stuck with EU and none of the solution works to get a RAAU (NA) code to register EA.

Well the way I see it, we are entitled to the head start anyways. It was their mix up that was seemingly preventing us from getting that right.

This exact same thing happened with the latest FFXI expansion. There were a myriad of players trading codes, and as far as I know, not a single person got banned. I was forced to trade and I never did.

Personally I don't think trading codes is a good idea, I can understand the feeling of being desperate of not knowing for sure if you'll be able to play on EA, how will they now know who still needs to be sent the correct region codes if all of you start trading it with no clear log of it?
This might be the main reason why they are taking so long to fix the issue at hand, they would now either have to develop a check on each account that was issued an incorrect region code and then resend to only the ones that haven't been flagged as being enabled yet and then most likely have to work out a way to invalidate the codes that haven't been redeemed yet.
And that's only one of options that they would need to take and might have some holes in it as well.
